I looked at the updated promotional videos/photos and the zero swap adjustment lever seems to have been repositioned. Some of the earlier complaints regarding the optic was that the red dot, as a red dot, wasn't all that great. People complained that the brightness wasn't quite bright enough.
Does anyone know if they've updated the Boss and if so, how is the newer offering?

Here’s some info about the Gen 2 BOSS Xe.
For reference Gen 1 Boss-Xe (P/N 64000G10,G11,G12) and Gen 2 Boss-Xe (P/N 64000G22,G23,G24).
I recommend watching this video if you have not already:
https://wilcoxind.com/news/articles/the-boss-xe-deep-dive A brief summary of the updates:
Repositioned the NIR LED room illuminator. The LED Room illuminator moved from the base of the unit, to be relocated in the optical bench. This will allow users with different grips to use the flood without obstruction.
Updated remote connector port to use the same junction box design as Raid-Xe GEN 2. Also repositioned the junction box so that it is at the front of the unit, and the remote cable faces forward (based on where the 3-button remotes are typically mounted in relation to the Boss-Xe unit)
Updated and improved overall design of trajectory switch. This simplified the zero process procedure and overall reliability of the trajectory switch
The elevation adjustment dials are numerically labeled to coincide with the position of the trajectory switch and both elevation adjustors are now the same size
