I just got an FAL but the handguards won't stay on because it's missing the screw and washer.  I bought a new metric screw from Apex but I didn't realize I needed a washer too.  I've looked around but they all seem out of stock.  Any ideas?

Think I used a washer out of carburetor rebuild kit one time.

I thought I had some but the drawer in my FAL parts bin for them is empty or I would have gave you a couple. DS Arms use to sell them but I don't see them on their web site anymore. Gunplumber, Arizona Response Systems, only sells the washer and screw together. If your a member at the FALfiles put a WTB ad in the marketplace and most likely someone will give you one. Maybe someone here will read your thread and give you one. Sorry I couldn't help I was sure I had a couple. Guess I'll have to order some myself.

Take the screw with you to a hardware store.
