Sometimes I get the feeling that most here mount their suppressors to AR15s (or AR10s) or PCCs. And yeah, that makes a lot of sense.

Just for a fun topic though, what are your favorite semi-auto rifles for suppressed shooting, that aren't ARs  and aren't pistol calibers?

As much as I love shooting my PCCs and centerfire suppressors. I shoot my rimfire cans more often and they never fail to awe me at how quiet they are.

My most shot rifle combo is my Gemtech Outback IID with monocore and my Ruger American bolt action. For RF handguns it’s my 1911 .22 conversion with my Mask.

I’m a big fan of my Galil Ace SBR. It is tuned with the KNS piston, and it runs beautifully. Right now I’ve got a Nomad on there, but I think I might actually like the sound of the Sandman S better. I’ve gone back and forth.

I’ve also got a Helios QD I’m about to get out of jail. I’m eyeballing that as another option.

My favorite suppressed centerfire rifles aren’t semi-auto.  A .300 blackout handi rifle is short and quiet with subs ranging from 90 grain xtp pistol bullets to longer range 220 grain boat tail.  With supers it shoots decently flat and has some punch to it with good bullets.

My other fave is a 16” Remington 700 in .308.  It’s a heavy pig though.

Both are good practical accuracy and with tuned handloads the 700 is a solid 1 moa with 10 shot groups. The Handirifle is in the 1.5-2 range but I’m usually shooting at at 30-75 so it feels like a laser. A toy laser.

FN FS2000. Only rifle suppressor I have at the moment (have one in jail) is a YHM .30 ULT.

It works well. The .30 cal seems to keep back pressure down some, and with the way the FS2000 is put together, what gas does get blown back collects in that big hollow stock for a while.

After it collects all it can hold though, smoke starts coming out of every seam and opening in the thing.

Edit:
Looks really long with the suppressor, but its actually about the same length as an unsupressed  16" AR.

That kind of rekindles my interest in a bullpup. The .300BO X95 intrigues me.

My ps90 SBR with sandman K sounds pretty amazing without ear plugs.

.38 and .357 is still technically pistol caliber IMO and its not semi auto either but this new to me Citadel/Rossi lever gun with the R9 is rapidly becoming my new favorite range toy.  Its not an AR so it at least meets one of your requirements
