What .22 rifle is your always looking for on the used rack or in the pawn shop?

It can be the Winchester 100 like you had as a youngster or the latest and greatest one hole target shooting precision rimfire rifle.

One of mine is a Biathlon rifle.  No real rhyme or reason for it, I just want one.

Something to ponder while this virus shut down thing runs it's course.

Nothing that I would find locally. I would love one of those fancy biathlon rifles with harness and everything.

Found one of those last year. Had to get a thread adapter for it cause it wasn't 1/2x28. It's a laser beam and light as a feather.

A good Marlin 39a, but I just got this one right before this stupid lockdown.

I've always been on the lookout for a Martini Henry converted to a cheap caliber, though.

A Winchester Gallery gun .22 short.

I did see a Winchester .22 pump that came with an original Maxim silencer.  The can was specifically for that gun.  It was attached using interrupted threads.  More of an impossible grail find.

A .22 pump. Not even sure what maker. My dad had one and treated it like it was gold so I sorta want one to grab back some memories. We have new ones with my kids with a Marlin 60 and a 10/22 however.

Winchester Model 52.  The classic .22 bolt gun.  One in close to new in box condition would be priceless in my view.

I have some nice classic .22lr rifles, but that one eludes me.

This a Remington 541-S Custom Sporter I inherited is pretty nice. I’ve since rescoped it with a modern higher powered scope, but the Vari-X 2-7x was original and period correct to the rifle.

The old US Property Marked ones.

Have one 513T Remington.

They can be found but it's not as easy as most caliber US Property firearms are to find.

Personally I think you would be better off with a standard 452 american and having it cut down/threaded. I never liked the factory version because they need a thread adapter and have a mismatched finish between the receiver and barrel. Either that or just get a 457.

That is on my list. My ideal being a 39D

So this doesn't really fit in with the other rifles listed but my dream 22 rifle is a 10/22 with an integrally suppressed barrel. No, you're not likely going to find one sitting in a rack somewhere and no, its not as high end or rare or accurate as some other options but I've still wanted one for a long time now. Well a couple of months ago I found a really nice deal on a Gemtech Mist so my dream will finally become a reality! Unfortunately it will still be several months before it gets out of jail.

Now if I could just find a deal on a Norrell full auto trigger!

Marlin 39 that I can afford.

Mine is not a rifle, but a pistol....

As a kid I drooled over a Ruger Mark I pistol - knew my mama would not let me have it at the time.

I scratched the itch with a Ruger Mark II Stainless bull barrel.

I still want one the standard barrel model - guess I should pick up a Standard barrel in a Mark II - that way all my mags and the loader would cross over.

For a rifle - prob one of the Remington 500 series bolt actions like the 512.

Thank you for the thread there OP

Full auto 10/22. never shot one, but shooting a full auto m16 with a 22 upper is hands down my favorite FA adventure. You could literally write your name. Lots of reloads but damn it's fun.

@bigsapper

Lol.... I have one in mohawk brown thats still new and unfired sitting in the back of my safe.  Back in the day my friend and I each got one....he decided to take his apart to clean it before shooting.... So.... It took 3 gunsmiths to put it back together.  That was enough to make me forget about mine...

Any idea on value? I've seen some here and there at gun shows in decent to rough condition, asking $500-$750.

Yes, I would like to find one is very good to excellent condition and snap it up. I do have its semi-auto brother, the 552 Speedmaster, circa 1958-59.

Vudoo V22

Love this rifle! Super accurate and just a pleasure to shoot. I pass so much time just plinking this thing at the shooting range. Just picked up a TB Takedown a month ago and waiting for the range to open up again. I was able to load up on SK Pistol Match before they ran out on Target Sports USA. My next gun project is to build a 6.5cm (or .308) precision bolt gun that's very similar to my V22.

LOTS of the above "wants" are not too uncommon in the UK, and sometimes some models are seen as an old .22 so not as attractive to the average 10/22 or M&P15 .22 buyer

Main one I know about & am working on bringing in is a .22 Finnish Mosin trainer = though no idea how long this will take to do

Would quite like a nice H&K Mod.270, but the lack of magazines is a PITA

Hell, I have one of my dream .22 rifles, but a broken $5 spring has it out of action - as none of the US suppliers will ship the spring to the UK
