I bought it, but it was a long time ago

Clearly not everything here, but can it be made into a gun?
Better off just buying a full DSA rifle?

Where you gonna find a receiver?
Link Posted: 3/4/2022 4:53:15 AM EDT
[Last Edit: Princeton] [#2]
Missing a lot of parts.

(Fixed list)
Bolt hold open and parts
Safety selector switch
Frame locking lever
Frame lock and parts
Frame locking plate
Stock and screw
Pistol grip and screw
Locking shoulder
Charging handle
Gas plug
Gas regulator
Rear sight assembly
Trigger guard
Can’t see in the picture if there is a muzzle device or not
Magazine

Probably missed a couple things.

Plus you would need to buy an upper receiver and need US made parts.

You could supplement the missing parts with some US made parts to keep it legal. 6 (or 7 parts if using a FH) needed to make it legal.

US made parts usually available that are missing are:
Receiver
Stock & Pistol Grip
Charge Handle
Flash Hider
Magazines (might count as multiple parts toward US parts count)

Just guessing would probably cost $800++ to collect parts needed.

Plus the tools and knowledge needed to assemble might just be easier to buy a complete rifle.

Is this a trick question?

Did any kits come in with upper receivers?  Pretty sure the ATF isn’t fond of that

Sooo, buy online and get it shipped to my FFL

At least I have a list to start with, thank you

I do have the complete bolt, it’s in the carrier. No muzzle device.

Does that help with knowing what receiver I need?

Funny thing is I’m sort of in the process of doing the same thing, building an FAL from parts left over from previous builds.

I made a post a while back:
Archived Thread

I missed buying a Israeli kit from PSA though because they had already sold out.

I finally have all the parts I need to build a complete rifle and the tools just don’t have the time and I need to mount my vise to my workbench. Hopefully I’ll get time to do it by Easter week when I’m on vacation.

No tricks. Just curious if you can still lay your hands on an imbel or does dsa sell them?

Looks like a project that would just make me look for a complete rifle. Building those is not like putting together an ar.

FYI if any of those other parts have RA serial #s stenciled on them or more green paint they will sell at a premium like the dust cover would. If so and you are not into building a Rhodie clone I would advise just selling the parts on Fal Files $$$

He doesn't need to worry about the U.S.-made parts thing.

Seriously if you sell those on Fal files it will pay for replacement parts that aren't collectible and make the gun cheap overall. Does the barrel have markings?
