Sporterized 91 w/ a 1924 Soviet bbl. Pull it out of the stock to read the receiver date on the underside of the tang.

That's unfortunate.
Unconverted M91s aren't exactly super rare, but there's probably 50 or more M91/30s for every M91 still out there. You might be able to find an appropriate stock and hardware should you wish to "rescue" it. |

What is the overall length? There is a possibility its a Dragoon, which would have the same overall length as a 91/30, but still the plain blade sight, and old style rear....if it was that, it would certainly be worth restoring...

That is an unconverted Dragoon...bubba always fucks up the good stuff....
The correct bands will be near impossible to find without luck...digging through parts boxes may yield you some... But the stock can be replaced with a regular 91/30 stock and handguard at least, and use regular 91/30 bands... Even though it won't be 100% it will be a cool piece.... |
