| Does anyone make a light folding adjustable free floating stock for this popular rifle? They shouldn't cost more than the gun. What scope for 300 black out? |

Keep in mind the rifle is CHEAP, but it's not a bad gun. Most quality upgrades will end up costing a bit more, the suggestions so far are spot on I don't think you'll have much luck finding a quality free float folder at the price you are looking for. On the optic side, check out primary arms they have some with the reticle type you are looking for and the price is pretty close to the range you want to be in as well. Many of their newer offerings offer a lifetime warranty and are also illuminated. |

Sharps Bros Heatseaker stock is out now, but it might violate your "cost more than the gun" rule. Sharps Bros Heatseaker Magpul should have their Hunter series available at some point, but that should be pretty heavy. I actually like the stock that comes with the rifle...it works. I added a cheap pad with side pouch (for an extra mag). I wasn't in love with the hollow sound of the stock, so I filled it with a slurry mix of epoxy and airsoft pellets. Added a little under 2 lbs of weight, which balances nicely with my older Surefire 556AR suppressor on the muzzle. Optic on top is a Athlon Midas Tac 5-25x50...a great scope for the price point. I shoot a custom handloaded 77gr SMK round, which is my clone attempt of the Blackhills Mk 262 Mod 1 cartridge. The rifle has been shooting less than 1 MOA out to 500 yards (furthest I've had it on paper). 10 round groups, not sissy 3 rounders. |

I have the Indian Creek chassis and it’s heavy. It’s nice, no doubt, but it’s heavy. If you like the gun, get the accessories that you want (or need). Why does the cost of the gun matter? If you do not like the gun, get a different gun. This isnt a car that you are getting rims on. |

The deal killer for me was not using AR mags. I REALLY REALLY like the MDT chassis but... $$ I found a Magpul stock in the EE, so I'm going with that. I was going to do a savage stealth so the price of retro isn't that bad. This Magpul stock will hopefully do the job. |

Installed it this evening. Attached File Feels solid, and not too heavy. But I'm used to a heavy bbl Remington 700 PSS. The bedding is super rigid. |

Just a thought, before you drop $$$, mix up some of this and fill the stock. (It expands, so no enclosed voids until it's cured) It's a great stiffener and sound deadener. Marine foam. |
