Pulled 3 dry tumbler load of blems being polished. 125 gr .308 from AM. Going into 300 blk when they have the bling.
When I got these I ordered another 1K. I see they are now OOS. Started last 2 batches of blems. In the meantime removed primer crimp, uniformed primer pockets on a batch of about 400 PMC 223 cases. Got them all sized, and half the batch in the third tumbler getting the lube removed. Do I need a 4th dry tumbler? No I can wait and do them tomorrow. |

Went to the local store to hunt for components in my efforts to get started. They did not have any of the popular powders for .308 and 5.56 that I was hoping for. I did buy 2 lbs of CFE BLK.

De-capped my tiny stash of 10mm brass with the new shell holder that arrived yesterday.
Got all of my de-capped brass organized and into plastic boxes. Got the saw and sawhorses set up in the garage; I'll finally be able to get started on my reloading bench. Looking through stain colors for the bench and accessories. |

Trimmed some recently re-sized 7.62x54r as part of a quest to create a new load for that round with 150 grain bullets. Plenty of info for 174 grain bullets, not so much for the 150s.
I think I've come up with something with H335 but only testing will find out. |

I asked my friend if he had any spare LRM primers and he gave me 700 CCis. Also ordered 4 jugs of Retumbo from Graf's using my Dealer account. Also primed 100 338LM cases and made some test loads using H4831SC with 250 grain bullet.

Assembled a new bench and XL750. Dusted off a Mec 600 Jr somebody gave me years ago and mounted it. Built shelves under the bench and mounted the Inline Fabrication rail system.

I went to the range today to test some .223 reloads I put together sometime last year. They didn't shoot very well. The only difference was I had a bullet loaded that I do not know where I got them from or the brand. I pulled all of the bullets, resized the necks on the cases and reloaded the cases with the same powder only this time I put in some Hornady 55 grain soft points. They have never failed me before. Tomorrow, it's back to the range and I'll try it again.

In what was one of the sadder things I've done reloading, I de-primed cases.
About a year or two before the unnamed virus of unknown origins, I had a pile of .30-06 brass and for some reason I got it into my head to re-size, trim and prime it all despite having no real need for it at that moment. Well, the majority of it has been in bags waiting for use some day since then. After a discussion in another thread about reloading components, and only having about half a brick of large rifle primers left, I decided to de-prime most of that brass, keeping 50 pieces. The good news is that I reclaimed about 300 LR primers so not all bad I suppose. I also found two sleeves of magnum large rifle primers so I guess I could use those in a pinch as well. |

Breaking in the new to me Dillon cv2001 tumbler. It’s a lot more quiet than the harbor freight unit that died. .308 brass went quickly
Now back to cleaning . 223. Loaded a quick 500 rounds of .223 with the RMR 75 hp over 24 grains of Tac. |

View Quote Yeah, I mulled over some Vihtavuori powders but my LGS doesn't have a particularly expansive inventory of them. Thread tax: I trimmed some 6.5 Jap brass today. Almost was about to reload them as well but figured an occasional lazy Sunday isn't a bad thing. |

Time for the reminder that this is NOT a discussion thread, so post ONLY what you did in reloading today.
Note I didn't answer the comment to my post. But then another Quote and comment, so this post. |

Went to my LRS, and bought the last 4 pounders of Blue Dot.
I had a couple of Bass Pro and Cabela’s gift cards. So I went to Cabela’s and bought a big box of 55gr Blitzkings. |

Sunday I prepped 200 starline 6 arc brass. I’m glad I did because my spine surgery Monday left my left arm limp. Doc says it’ll come back sooner or later.

Shooter709 came over and he loaded 200 125 gr XTP's in 357 (H-110) during his weekly visit.
Then we put a hundred odd .348 bullets on the wood stove so we could remove the lube. Bullets got warm, softened lube and we wiped lube off with a rag. Then bullets got an acetone bath and scrubbing with a brush. Strained, placed on a soft rag, and rolled around to dry. 348 Winchester is a hard caliber to load for. Bullets and brass are scarce. So it was worth the effort to powder coat these 200 gr cast bullets. Then it was time to pick which color to powder coat them with. Translucent Copper was chosen, so we did the shake and bake method and got them all in the oven to cook. Started the toaster oven as we left the shop, as you don't want to breath the fumes. Made plans for the funshow this weekend, good night reloading with a good friend. |

Yesterday, I got a wild hair up my butt and finally sorted 2000 pieces of 223 brass that was mixed commercial/military. I ended up with about 700 LC, 400 FC, 265 IMI, 100 PPU 5.56, 280 mixed military, and the rest were mixed commercial not worth separating into batches. A pox on LC for the weak-ass stamps they use to mark their cases that make them almost impossible to read. It got to where I was like "impossible to read print? LC it is".
Then I went through all of my brass, where it's located (shed or garage), the state of the brass, etc. This morning I did the same for my 9mm bullets that were in a couple of different spots. I also figured out I'm running low on range ammo so it's time to fire the up Dillon pretty soon... |

At the funshow, met up with Cascade-Dude and his lovely wife.
He picked up the Rockchucker I found for him, some H-335, and the trimmer donated by a generous forum member. I found a mint Redding match powder measure for myself. Day is young.... |

I broke out the Dillon 550 for the first time in a long time today and it was rough. Because I stopped a few times to check things, I removed locator buttons - and promptly forgot to put them back. TWICE. Spilled powder, messed up a couple of cases, I felt like a major dope.
Second batch of 100 went a lot smoother. I have to take the primer system apart and see if I can polish the primer slide. and the inside of the primer slide channel. It's been hanging up a couple of times per session of 100, and I'm getting tired of it. If all else fails, I'll order that fancy ball bearing slide plate... |

I think I have my primer slide issue solved. I'll post a thread tomorrow when I have more time.
In other news: Reloading trouble continued today. After finally clearing up the primer slide, I ran into a batch of crimped brass that I then had to sort through. Grrr.... |

Looking for my first .45. Satin nickel Colt Combat Commander serial # 70SC85412 sold at a gun show in Louisville KY sometime in 1985. My Avatar, my sweet princess girly girl Maggie. Got a nice 15 years with her, miss her a lot.

I'm getting ready to load some 30-06 for my M1 Garand.
The 550 is set up. The brass is clean, sized, decapped, trimmed, primer crimps were reamed out. I just haven't decided which bullets to use. |

Prepping some old 300 BLK brass that I had formed from 223 years ago.
Got 250 that I went through. Cleaned, Length checked, annealed, sized and decapped and now recleaning. Will finish load them on my 550. I think I am going to finally buy a WFT trimmer in 300 BLK so I can convert a couple thousand 223 cases into 300. The cases I did above years ago were all cut to length after the rough cut and forming with a clunky old RCBS benchtop hand crank trimmer. That sucked! |

Bought some more True Blue and some Silhouette at the LGS. $35 and $39 lb respectively.

Trying out some new powders.
Loaded 100, 9mm with 124gr RMR JHP Nukes with WW 244. Loaded a box of .308 with Speer 168gr HPBT Match bullets and WW StaBALL Match. I've been getting some excellent single digit SDs with the StaBall in .308 and .224V so far. |

Nobody is coming. It's up to you.

Made some 88g ELD-Ms go around 2900fps out of a 26" 223 VLD chamber with zero pressure signs.
Settled on a load producing 2800fps with an SD of 4. Next up, seating depth testing. |

Added a bunch of stuff to the components stockpile:
Win 41 primers, and some SPP locally. .380 FMJ bullets from AR .308 FMJ bullets from AR (bought the last ones they had tonight) MP something powder from AR for hunting load workups. 4831 powder at a show Trail Boss powder x2 at a show amazingly enough….now I see how much some people are paying for it, might flip it… Organized all my various die sets, stuff was in my reloading area, basement, garage, etc…. Found lots of orphan dies, stuff I forgot, etc. found more .308 sets than I remembered, several other duplicates, yet cannot find some duplicate 9 and 40 dies and a set .30-30 dies that I am fairly certain should be somewhere. Tossed a lot of die boxes, especially Lee round containers like the bullet sizing die containers. Basically gained a lot of storage space in my reloading area by consolidating containers. Organized some brass in the basement, found a lot more stuff I had forgotten about, especially new, ready to load primed brass. Sorted a lot of mixed brass and wet tumbled a lot of stuff and stored it away for future loading needs. Picked up some brass left after a match I attended. Turned a bunch of ammo into brass as well, the cycle continues…. |
