I'm planning to move my medical stuff to the MOLLE on the sides of it though instead of stuffing it into a mag pouch. What I pack in it will depend on time of year and what I'm doing I suppose. Socks, a field stripped MRE, small weapons maintenance kit, iodine tabs, and poncho with some 550 are where I'm going to start. I've got a small waterproof bag to keep some of the stuff dry in there. I'll see how/if all that fits and adjust from there. The ruck I use is a medium ALICE with the MOLLE ruck shoulder pads and sleep system carrier. It's not Gucci but it works and can support a lot of weight. It's also short so the kidney pad sits above the belt but the top doesn't block my head too bad while laying prone. It also allows for ventilation since the pads kick the frame away from my back. View Quote Thank you for the update. The rig looks ideal for a setup allowing you to drop your pack and still have a basic 1 or 2 day sustainment. I like it. |

I loop it through the MOLLE, then attach to the belt, with an extra bit of length at the end to loop around and tuck into the MOLLE again. It’s been solid as a rock for two years, and stays put on the belt. |

Isn't black a retro fashion statement.... Joking aside if you want something that doesn't stand out the darkish tan etc doesn't stand out as much as say a sand, but then again the pistol rifle and mags will probably draw more attention than the belt. |

For non RDS the 7 series are great holsters. I have one for a VP9. Can't go wrong withe the ALS system. One addition that I've done, while not necessary but I now have on all my ALS holsters, is the Nub Mod. I highly recommend it.
