The butt pack was the last piece to show up and I haven't had time to mess around with seeing what I can fit into it.  I'm planning to move my medical stuff to the MOLLE on the sides of it though instead of stuffing it into a mag pouch.

What I pack in it will depend on time of year and what I'm doing I suppose.  Socks, a field stripped MRE, small weapons maintenance kit, iodine tabs, and poncho with some 550 are where I'm going to start.  I've got a small waterproof bag to keep some of the stuff dry in there.  I'll see how/if all that fits and adjust from there.

The ruck I use is a medium ALICE with the MOLLE ruck shoulder pads and sleep system carrier.  It's not Gucci but it works and can support a lot of weight.  It's also short so the kidney pad sits above the belt but the top doesn't block my head too bad while laying prone.  It also allows for ventilation since the pads kick the frame away from my back.

Thank you for the update. The rig looks ideal for a setup allowing you to drop your pack and still have a basic 1 or 2 day sustainment.

I like it.

My brother and I both use BFG's dump pouch. Rolls up small when not in use, and weighs nothing.

I’ve had great luck with 1” double-sided Velcro tape. I loop it through the MOLLE, then attach to the belt, with an extra bit of length at the end to loop around and tuck into the MOLLE again. It’s been solid as a rock for two years, and stays put on the belt.

For those with a 2.25” UBL with a 1.75” belt, are you having any issues with it sliding/ moving?

No.  I found one of the 2.25 ones at a surplus store and used that for about a year before I found the correct sized one.  Never noticed any additional movement with the bigger one.

Really small. I ordered the belt in size 26, but I probably have the belt out at about 30" for going over clothing etc. I'm 5'6" 135lbs. Not easy to find gear that works for me. I'm having a plate carrier custom made for me now, by Gear Dynamics, for 8x10 SAPI plates.

No offense to any LE with that statement. I'm not LE or MIL, I'm a civilian. I set this belt up for classes mainly. The reason I went with black is, if I were to need to use this belt in a non-class scenario... I'm thinking it will probably be dark outside/inside, so having black gear helps blend.

Just velcro.  I used belt keepers in LE for retention purposes. Not so much now in a training environment.

Isn't black a retro fashion statement....

Joking aside if you want something that doesn't stand out the darkish tan etc doesn't stand out as much as say a sand, but then again the pistol rifle and mags will probably draw more attention than the belt.

Any go to websites for these? Looks like there's deals to be had by not ordering direct from Safariland, but many websites say "with light" which isn't really helpful being as we all know there's multiple types. (Especially Amazon is like this)

I'm using a M&P9 with RMR.  I waited and looked on EE, but none popped up so I ended up biting the bullet and ordered direct from Safariland.  It took a month or so but I got exactly what I wanted.  If you are using a G17 you're better off as I see them on the EE more frequently.

For non RDS the 7 series are great holsters.  I have one for a VP9.  Can't go wrong withe the ALS system.  One addition that I've done, while not necessary but I now have on all my ALS holsters, is the Nub Mod.  I highly recommend it.

So far its working pretty good. Idk if I want to spend the money to consolidate down to just one pouch or not since this doesn't seem like its gonna get me killed in the streets yet.

Let me pose it this way. What is in what pouch? How would I, the guy in the next shooting bay over, know what to grab in case you got an extra hole in you and I needed to fix it. Im not saying youre wrong, just posing a critical thinking exercise.

They both have pretty much the same stuff in them except the hsgi has the shears and an extra tourniquet on the outside. Either one you grab would do the job.
