Where could I acquire a factory SBR kit (5.56mm) for my X95? I have only ever seen one on the EE here and that was months ago.

left-hand kits are in stock

just flop it's charging handle, reuse your right hand bolt, and verify headspacing.

Alot of places have stopped doing LH bolt conversion and you can't get LH bolts w/o buying the full kit.

Just saying there's probably a market for unneeded LH bolts.

IwI has the 13 inch barrel with bolts in stock on their website. Get that and then get the short rail from manticore arms and you’re done

If you have a 16" barrel you could always have it cut down and crowned once you do your paperwork and get it back.

True. I'm just saying to cut the barrel and then find the handguard and rail. Might save on some cost.

They dont sell the rail and handguard seperately, part of the kit.

Also the issue with cutting down the barrel is you wont have the barrel ring groove in the right spot on the barrel and the gas port size wont be proper.

I bought the short hand guard and short top rail from them.  Not on their website, I went through customer service to buy them.

Might consider just "accepting" 16" pinned and welded with thin buttplate which is very close to the current 15" x95s which the isrealis settled on...

You could keep your X95 and buy a factory SBR off Gunbroker or another site.

another good idea.

you'll have to wait 5-7 months versus 1 month, but you wont have to engrave, and you have your 16"er to keep you company while you wait (and you can probably sell that title 1 x95 for good bucks in this climate).
