This is the only optic I have for this rifle. I can not afford an Elcan or a Razor at this time.
If I put it in an AMD mount will I regret it? Is there another option that won't cost me 1000$ +?

Any suggestions?

I have a 2.5-10x32 PST on my 17.  No issues with it so far.  Can't recall if I've ever heard of others having issues with it on a 17 either.

You need a solid mount that is properly installed and you shouldn't have a problem.
