Aero M4E1 build in .300 AAC.  Swapped an SBA3 for the MOE SL-K.  Very happy with it.

Eventually I'm going to try out the .300BO, but I have to buy a .30cal can first. If I'd listened to everyone and bought one instead of my recce 5 I'd probably already have one. Ehh... Live and learn

I only had one Pistol braced gun, took the brace off, gave it to someone with no ARs or any guns it'll fit on and put a pistol tube back on the gun it came off... FTATF

I live on 40 acres surrounded by other people who each have 40 acres. Nobody is close. I do exactly what I want, when I want. There's nobody close enough to give a shit. I understand your fuck the atf approach. I just thought this might make for a fun thread with lots of pictures. Everybody likes pictures!

Unfortunately this is what's to be expected on such an emotional topic for many.

I do like picture threads though. Back when I did my SBR braces weren't even invented yet, just smooth pistol tubes so I cannot add a former pistol because I never had one.

I'm confused, then these aren't pistols. You, for whatever reason, got them short barrel rifled. This is the wrong forum.

I am not attacking anyone's decision with regards to their previously (or currently) braced pistol, do what you want with your gun, I don't care, but this is the pistol forum.

Looking forward to being able to contribute to the pictures this thread was created for, but for now, I wait. What did I do with my 4 braces after submitting the forms? Simple. I took the braces off, put them on my already registered SBRs, and put the removed SBR’s stocks in the bin with all the other “extra” stocks I’ve accumulated over the years. I find that having extra loose stocks laying around removes ALL of the temptation to construct an illegal SBR that having loose braces was creating. So not only do I no longer wake up in a cold sweat fearing an Entebbe like raid by balaclava wearing scary dudes, but I also don’t have to battle the almost overwhelming urge to throw open the gun safe and start committing felonies all willy-nilly and stuff. It’s weird but liberating.

I do have an A2 stock, as well as a few forends. Just like the flexibility with the platform.

Wasn’t sure if I’d like the stock, but much more better than a brace. Subsonic runs good, especially since other stuff cracks the sound barrier with the 8” barrel.

UMP stock on an SB Tactical folder from the original brace.

A few changes. FCD A5 length RE, apeg grip and BCM stock. Aside from some rail scales that are inbound, I'm pretty well out of ways to improve it.

It's a Strike stock that came with a 1913-friendly clamp. Same thing as the triangle brace that was on there previously.

That's an interesting design. I think I need one for my P50.

It’s arguably a retrograde move size wise, but I opted to put a fixed stock on mine.  I never liked the telescoping pistol brace much when it came to shooting, and I bought it to shoot.

Used a VLTOR stock to match the VLTOR handguard, added VFG after removing the brace.

It wasn't because of the brace ruling, but these all used to be pistols or "firearms"

This has been an sbr for a few years but it started as a POF Rogue 308 12.5" pistol.

Now it's an sbr.

Sweet gun all around.

Well, if Armalite had offered the Armalite-15 (with its trigger-style CH in the upper) as a carbine with an 11.5" bbl and "duckbill" FH as on the 20" guns, it might look like this.

Or it could be an early attempt at what would become the XM177-series shorties before they decided to add a moderator.

Or it could a mashup of features/parts that I thought were cool.

Displayed on an ERDL jungle fatigue jacket I brought back from VN in '69.
