I know that Cimarron imports Uberti, but are there any differences in quality control etc?  I have a Uberti 1851 and I was about to pull the trigger on a Walker at KyGunco but they just went out of stock.  Found the Cimarron Walker at a few places and I want to know if it's the same.

Allegedly Cimarron Arms has theirs made special but that is not proven.  Lots of controversy on that subject.  I will post links shortly.

Cimarron guns are nice.  I have at least 3.

Links. Not directly about Cimarron however they are mentioned and it covers the subject.  However be warned, there is a lot of purse swinging.

Thanks.  I have two Uberti's made post-pandemic and I have been happy with both.  If the Cimarron is just a rebadged Uberti I'll be happy.  If it's a higher fit and finish then that will be great.

I just bought a Cimarron 1851 Navy.  The finish is great.  Grip fit is pretty horrendous (large overhang/proud areas of wood extending beyond the grip frame).  Additionally, the cylinder is missing three of the safety pins and one safety pin is buggered up so bad it doesn't remain under the hammer if I apply rotational pressure to the cylinder with my hand.  With the above warts, my Cimarron 1851 shoots incredibly well.  I don't know if I will work to make the grips fit better.  I might write Stoeger about the cylinder issue.
