Certainly something petroleum based so not exactly BP friendly.... give 'er a good cleaning before makin' smoke

Whatever it is they certainly aren’t stingy with it. Got a 1873 Cattleman last week and if there were any more oil on it would be dripping.

Haha same here, 1873 last week and it’s SOAKED! Eye-gor-yep I always fully break them down before use(that goes for all new firearms!), but even more important for the BP firearms! All of the Ubertis I’ve gotten have this same oil on them. Smells good, I wouldn’t mind having some of whatever it is. Smells like a manufacturing or cutting oil or something like that maybe? |
