Is there an improved trigger available?

Drop in, gunsmithed, diy instructions?

Heavy, critch, critch, clunk isn't doing it for me after trying many of the ar drop in solutions.

Help!

Jard makes one. Never used it, or know anything about it.

Falcon makes a trigger pull reduction kit. Again, I've never used it.

I'm using the stock trigger from DS Arms.  Little heavy, but it works for me.

From what I've heard, the other triggers aren't recommended for safety reasons.

The stock trigger can be improved with work, but the best possible that can be achieved within the margins of safety is a bit under 6lbs on the break, and the elimination of creep, but it's not guaranteed that you can get the weight that low.

IIRC, FN had worked on a new trigger design that I think was closer to the ARs and much better in the 1980s, but since the FAL was on the way out, they never finished the work or put it into production.

Having Gunplumber at ARS do it is probably your best bet, as he doesn't do crap work or let anything go that he doesn't feel safe, but 6# is about it for the trigger.

Trigger pull is irrelevant unless you are stabbing at the trigger.

My FAL has a 10lb trigger.

I'd be interested if anyone have feedback for either of these solutions.

The DSA triggers function the same as the original triggers. Pull weight is the same, and they're not terribly gritty. As for the Jard, from what little I've seen and heard, reliability was sketchy.

About the only thing I never really liked about the FAL was the trigger pull.

DSA has an option on their website for a trigger upgrade.  They say it drops the pull weight to 5.5-6lb

ARS built an L1A1 for me years ago ad the trigger was very M14ish.

Don't let anyone but Mark Graham at ARS touch your FAL

They did mine about 13 years ago when I had them build me  a rifle and it turned out very nice.
