I picked up a Fleming sear a few months back and have been trying to add one of each hosts. The sear came with an SP89 and I already had an SP5K. After I got it I added a 94 and then a 91 with a .22 conversion kit but a 93 was eluding me. I finally found one for a price I was willing to pay so not it is mine. Now my dilemma is should I chop it to make it a 53 or keep it long?

53 is a no brainer.  Gatewood has the 53 barrel and cocking tube in stock.  Steal at their price.

The full size guns are kind of pigs.  53 is one of the most fun to shoot.

I say chop to 53, love mine. Wasn't a huge fan of the 93/33.

Need a 21 or 23 now, for beltfed goodness.

Are you going to make the SP5K sear ready?

If I could only have one 5.56 HK sear-host rifle it would be the 33K.

However, the best option IMHO.... is to convert the current HK93 to a 33K and then get two more HK93s and have one upgraded to a HK33 and the 3rd one converted to a HK53.

In my experience its a pretty good challenge to really "complete" an HK roller-locked collection given the number of options out there.

Over the past couple decades I have slowly been trying to acquire a German receiver/parts build example of each significant HK factory model as well as US clones of my favorite shooters.  Plus there are all the cool US inspired models that HK never factory made (HK51, MP5-RS, MP5K/10, HK53-SD, PTR32 family, 21/23EK, etc.) that you can add as well.

33K is my favorite too.

Came to post that, he's far from done.

Mine sure as hell isn't.

OP, you're not done either. Don't pretend.

Congrats on getting some cool stuff!

I want a 33K, and I'd probably prefer it to the 53, unless I'm just out to blast and make noise.
Clearly you need both.

Nice, green jelly here.

Would love to have a sear. M11/9 is my only full auto but still is fun.

I guess my collection wasn’t complete. I added a TPM SD clone an MP5N clone from Ralph jr., a Century 93 clone and finally I picked up a Vector 53P clone which I’m going to Form 1. I think that’ll do it for me. I don’t really have any desire to grab a 21 or 23 so that’s not an itch I’m ever going to need to scratch. Hopefully the Vector will work well with the sear and I won’t have to chop my 93.

That's what I'm talking about!

The Vector should work great as a sear host.

I had zero desire for an H&K beltfed until I spent a day down at TSC Machine "test firing" beltfeds.  Went from zero appeal to a grail gun real quick.

OP, congrats on the extra host additions, you are now well on your way to fully becoming an HK machinegun addict.

Also let me try and help you out with that lack of HK beltfed "itch".
