Guy at my work has offered to sell me a couple of clapped out Schrade/Uncle Henry 153UH knives for cheap.
Both have sheaths. One is marked USA on the blade. One isn't. I assume its Chineseium.
The USA knife is in rough shape. The blade tip is broken off, just the tip, maybe 1/32".
The China blade looks barely used. Just dirty as hell.
I figure a few minutes with a file and some stoning will fix that USA blade right up.
I've never owned one of these blades before. OK for misc use?
They seem to be quite popular.

Junk or sleepers?

I have one for my hunting knife. I love it. Mine is made in China, takes and keeps a really good edge. I can field dress, skin and quarter a white tail and only need to give it a few passes with the ultra fine stone to get it back to shaving sharp.
