Will the head of the Vampire clear the rail with the offset mount, or do you have to have the head infront of the rail?

This brings up a question... how do you use both the Vampire and the laser with this setup? Go constant-on with the vampire?

Awesome, im a total DIY  addict.  One thing i have noticed with lasers is when you are zeroing, always TIGHTEN the adjuster into the proper POI. If you go too far and overshoot, just loosen a little extra and go back slowly tightening till you hit your spot. This is especially true if your adjusters don't have positive clicks or detents.  After every adjustment i do a couple of dry charges, bump the stock a bit, tap the laser housing,  and see if anything moved. It helps you have the T1 so you can just co witness everything  and will see instantly if anything shifts.

Are you in the Little Rock area?

Thanks for the advice, hopefully I'll get a chance to get it zeroed pretty soon.

Yep, west Little Rock for me.

I do run the vampire on constant more for navigation and target ID. I try to  practice IR discipline as much as possible and rarely run the IR laser on constant.

Here is my little beauty.  The monoc is attached in a way that allows me to attach/detach it very quickly and is incredibly solid.  Also places the ON/OFF switch at the two o-clock position which is nice.  I have a universal adapter but this thing is IMHO much more solid and much cheaper @ around $40 total.  With a QD ring (I use a Warne med height) I can attach/detach the whole thing in less than 5 seconds.  This also allows you to tailor the distance between ocular lens of the scope and the objective lens of the monoc.  I've partially overcome the loss of eye relief by adding a half inch butt pad to the stock.  During the day I keep the stock at position 5, and when I add NV I move it back to position 6.  I'm really happy w/ the functionality of this thing!

How about a 22?

Ruger 10-22 with PVS-14 and Eotech weapons sight. AAC Element silencer. GG&G mounts. I can remove the NV and mount the Eotech 3X magnifier for daytime. Bunnies are on notice.....

Now theres a setup you do not see often.
Slip a can on that and an IR laser and you can put that under the definition of deadly.

Started out as a Light weight, cheap fun gun and ended up heavy and expensive.

Here it is again, with its non-weapon mounted NVG brother.

I just cant wait to get my suppressors in. I feel thats just as important as the NV, even though it really doesn't even silence it all that much.

PVS 24 mounted w/ TA-31F RCO M4.  I don't use it like this very much, only when I'm static for a long period ...and that isn't often.  It's a good set up for perimeter duty and would be a kickass set up for hogs or coyotes back in CONUS.  Originally it was pitched to us that you could be on PVS 14s over your non-dominant eye and transition straight to this set up.  Not so much.  I don't know about all of you, but as soon as I try to get on the RCO my PVS 14 smacks into the side of the PVS 24 and pushes me off the scope.  I can only do it if I  flip the PVS 14 up, which slows things down.  Usually I just run dual tube goggles with an EO Tech mounted out forward on the rail.

Stymie,

I was looking at the same thing for a PVS22 or 27. The best alternative I could find for bolt guns was the McCann Industries MIRS mounts. I think I am going to have this installed on my 2 M700 P and my Savage when I get back to the states and can get a PVS27.

+1, a few years ago I experimented w/ a couple different MUM units mounted in front of of a magnified day optic but the POI shift was several inches at 50 yards, much too much for my liking.  If you have a pvs-14 that doesn't cause this then you, sir, have a gem.

Here's my D-760 w/LaRue QD mount from TNVC mounted on my Bushmaster M4 ORC.  I've only had the scope for a little less than a month and it has too many hog kills to count already.  It's a sweet setup.
