I third.

All of my submissions are Trust so I have noticed how the Trust submissions are ruling the roost currently. Hate it for you individual guys. Just a month or so ago it seemed like some individuals were getting approvals in 4-5 months. I have noticed the graph on the tracker is doing some wonky stuff.

I wonder if they have a projected goal for the amount of days it takes and they work Trust vs Individual according to that.

Just looking at the chart seems like 150-200 from check cash to approval is where they are trying to be.

Question do they generally do the FBI background check before or after a trust goes thru review?

Just called about my Feb 2017 Trust submission. Had a error letter come back to my dealer about 2-3 weeks ago. I emailed them the correct admendment the same day and the dealer said it was mailed the same day.

Called to check on it today hoping to hear an approval but the lady said that my correction letter was received yesterday. So I guess it takes them 2 weeks to open their mail.

But she then said it would renter the review portion and then would be submitted to the FBI for BG check. Just wondering if that was true?

Depending on the issue they would not be able to submit it to FBI until the issue is resolved because they may need to have trust issues resolved before they can know if records were submitted for all RPs.

Call the NFA branch and ask again. I called and was told my form 4 trust submission was approved on 2/23. After two weeks of waiting and haunting my FFL I called back and was told my form was sent to an examiner on 2/23. I asked why I was told the form was approved when I called two weeks ago and the lady (very nice and helpful by the way) apologized and said someone misread the file and gave me the wrong info.

I have 2 that were sent in at the same time, I got one back three months ago and I'm at 14 months waiting on the other. 9 months was normal for trust not too long ago, now it seems like 7-13 months is normal. It all depends on if you get held up because of them dragging their feet on the bg check or not.

I spoke with someone at the FBI last week and they said they were bringing in more people to help clear the bg check backlog they've been dealing with.

That why they need to make a class3 card you can renew every year.

Show the card to the FFL and he prints out a form4 with a stamp.

I have 2 form 4 trust purchases made 4/23/17 that are still "pending" as of  2/22/18.  Here we are a month after I checked and nothing. Another month from today will be 363 days since I purchased those 2 cans.  I don't think you have hit ridiculous status yet.

I agree, there's no reason a form 4/1 cannot be treated like a form 3. Submit photos, fingerprints and application like a FFL does, assign a class 3 transfer number like a FFL has and allow e-file form 1/4..

I have over two dozen stamps, I've alreadyy been vetted.. numerous times.. last 3 purchases took less than 24 hours to approve the form 3 to my dealer.. probably take close to a year for the approved form 4s to come back

My FFL received an error letter yesterday saying there was a problem with my responsible person questionnaire. They said I didn't fill one out (I am very, very sure I did...my friggen picture is on it!).  I am the only responsible person on my trust

Anyways, the letter was sent by them on 3/11/18.  My check was cashed on 8/29/17.  This was a F4 Trust application for all you timeline folks.  I'll be sending them another form Monday, so hopefully the process after this is quick.  I guessed I would have my suppressor in March back when I sent them the application.  So close!

The lady I spoke with just said they were both "pending", nothing about FBI checks.  I didn't ask if there were any extenuating circumstances though.  Will they typically tell you if there are any errors or if it's awaiting FBI background?

I was told the same thing over a week ago. I asked the rep  if she had an idea of how much longer it would be. She told me it depends on the examiners workload and speed. To give you an idea, my form 4 trust was sent to the examiner Feb. 26. I'm still waiting for approval.

F1 Individual for SBR
Check cashed 9-19-2017
Approved 3-28-2018
Stamp received 4-6-2018

My first NFA device. Unfortunately I seem to have contracted a terminal case of the NFAids from it. It's all downhill from here.

190 days for a F1 individual.
