Eform 1 a DD last Sunday (March 14th). 1 RP on a trust. CC hit Monday and my fingerprints arrived yesterday at their WV office. Hopefully it doesn’t drag out...but here’s to hoping!

Form 4 was approved on Jan 15th of this year. My dealer still has not received a stamp.

60+ Days with no stamp after approval ... Grrr....

I’ll probably have my kid before my form 4 is approved, and she was conceived after I bought the can.

Was told "delayed" status today, due to NICS being backed up.

Then I asked why the delay when others have been approved after my submittal dates.

...*crickets*

This FBI around check delay makes no sense.... How come people submitting after me (2/4/21) get the forms processed in like 20 days but here I am on day 53 with nothing.... The NFA subreddit has a tracking sheet for a ton of approvals dating back to 2018 and the average wait for eform 1 individuals is still like 27 days...

This is so frustrating.

Lol. Try adding 3 months of pending research just to get delayed 8 days after that. I'm on day 165 for an sbr eform1. Not my first stamp either, albeit it has been awhile. From last I saw, someone who submitted 11/12 or so was fbi delayed and they recently got theirs.

So based on that I'm looking at another 2 months if they're only at mid November delays.

FBI working on 10/8 right now for those of us stuck in the endless FBI background check hell.  The good new is the examiner said that as soon as they get the “go ahead” all 5 of my forms should be approved, even for the suppressors I submitted a few months back.  Fingers crossed it will actually happen.

Efile form 1 x2 submitted Nov 28th, prints received Dec 8th. Still in progress, nothing about delay, FBI check, notta. Have called three time over the past 2 months. Keep getting zero additional info, other than "average is 60 days". Paid with card so no "check cash" date to use. I've pinged the ask the experts once to see if they'll help and nothing. Any other options for insight I'm missing or are others having similar issue? (No I did not read through threads, I'm working so thought I would try and get a quick answer.

Same exact issue, except I efiled 2 form 1s in December and January. Did the same for a response for why it's taking so effing long and got the same answers as you. No rhyme or reason, so I can certainly empathize with you. Since you're a month more into the wait, I wouldn't mind seeing an update when you get one. Much appreciated.

Anyone try to create an eform account recently?  I set up an account, but didn't receive an email confirmation and can't log in with the info I used.  Does it take a while for your account to be approved?

ETA:  Well apparently the desktop version of the site doesn’t work.  I attempted to reregister on my phone and it worked then.

Anybody else get the male customer service agent at the NFA office, when calling in for a status update, who seems as though he just hates his job/life? Almost monotone, no real personality, and no fluff/friendliness. The ladies I have spoken to have been wonderful and friendly, but there is one guy there whom I have spoken to twice since the beginning of the year who just seems to really dread his job. I could see how answering calls all day and punching in serial numbers would be monotonous, but this guy seems to take it to the extreme. He has never been overtly rude, other than once I asked if a Form 4 was assigned to an Examiner. This was after he told me it was pending... he responded with "I told you it was pending".

While working on some eForms, I was transferred to a 'Specialist' who was fantastic. Very friendly, personable, helpful and engaging. I actually had to work to get off the phone with her as she wanted to chat about the weather we were having at the time in WV.

Yup. I got the cocksucker yesterday while inquiring about my eForms Form 1 that's been in pending status since June of last year. Just as rude to me as he was the first time we interacted earlier in the year.

Same both times I've called, and same response when I asked what the rhyme or reason of someone filing first time coming back in a month meanwhile I've had multiple pass and I'm at almost 4 1/2 months. His response was, "Yea I don't know you're just going to have to wait it out while in progress".

I have to wonder what pushes that guy to continue his employment with the ATF. I cannot imagine the pay is great and if i were that miserable, I would move on. That area of the state is booming economically, so I would assume opportunities exist.

Per the article I read on the previous page, if a field agent is "high risk" of Covid they get re-assigned to NFA duty.

Yea, I got him on 3/19 when I called.  Sounded like someone just shot his puppy. He was the first person to ever ask me the name of the one shot trust I used for this one too.  I'm fighting the urge to call back.  Last call was on 3/19, still pending from 11/2.

At this point I'm curious if "ask the experts" actually does anything.

Edit, I just got ahold of my districts senator's assistant, left my address, contact info, control numbers, and submission dates with her and she said she would reach out to them and get back with me so fingers crossed they can dig up more info than I. It's crazy there isn't a "statue of limitations" per se with the amount of money we have to spend to be "allowed" to have these.

Agreed...

That said, I'm kinda mad at myself right now. I had a eForms F1 that I started on December 18, 2020 for a suppressor. I should've filed it then, yet I waited until now... got too busy with buying shit for my NODs and kind of off the suppressor track, even though I had the undrilled parts sitting on shelves in my home office. Finally realized I have a friend from my old PD with a lathe and that's what got me off my ass to get the form submitted, hopefully I'll get it back soon so I can get it finished and go test everything out. I was not looking forward to shooting my 11.5" SBR with a Cherry Bomb on it unsuppressed, so I'll be avoiding sighting in my laser until I get the stamp back.

At this point they better be, approvals averaging 30 days and multiple random folks taking 6 months is absolutely horse shit.
I've called my regional senator, has been escalated to state rep at white house, I've been sent a freedom of privacy form so his office can follow up with them on my behalf. Luckily the fella I talked to was either on top of NFA process or is a gun guy as he was 100% tracking on what I was asking for a resolution for and said their office had been getting a ton of these calls lately.

Every other person I have spoken to at the ATF has been fantastic. They have some very friendly people working there... except this one guy. There must only be a group of 10 or so who answer the phones for updates as it seems I have spoken to a few multiple times. There is another guy who is also very friendly.

111 and 103 days both items on a Trust. Not my first tax stamp. I called today and was told to “ask the experts”. I’m considering cancelling the process and asking for a refund to resubmit them for a individual filing. Anybody have experience doing that, or should I just let this ride out even longer?

Honestly, most of the rank and file that I've dealt with RE: NFA stuff have been professional and worked in good faith. I don't hold anything against them per se, they're trying to do their jobs like 99% of folks out there. Their mandate is another question of course but that's another ball of wax.

My only complaint right now is USPS failing extremely hard at getting my prints to them. I may need to drive to WV next time and hand-deliver them.

I am two hours from Martinsburg and tried to overnight my prints. The USPS clerk told me they could not overnight it and the earliest they could do is two-day. I could overnight the package to California and have it arrive by 10:30 AM the next morning but I can't overnight to a location 2 hours away...

Form 1? I'd submit a new form 1 for something and else and see if you get a batch approval. If not, I'd call and talk to your examiner and or do an ask the expert referencing the new approved one and see if they'll move it along. THen I'd cancel the new stamp and get a refund. lol.
