Just found an old picture of a Wakizashi blade that I have after I had it polished. Forgot how beautiful it was.

Here is a sword that I have that had a really old hazy polish from long ago. I sent it to David Hoffine for a touch up polish since there was no real damage.

Hoffine wrote that it was a Kanemoto from the 17 or 1800's.

Any engraving? My FIL brought back two Japanese swords from WW2.

The first picture looks to be a katana and is clearly signed.  Looks like an AOI stock image.

I think your right, I had 2 swords I bought from them long ago. I still have the katana, but sold the wak, which I think this one is.

Normally AOI includes at least hozon papers with their sales, should have the signature there or an attribution to smith or school.

The 2nd is thought to be a Kanemoto from the 17 or 1800's. Honestly don't remember on the other one, will have to find the paperwork on it.
