Okay, I recently acquired a Swede M96. It's a joy to shoot. Seems very accurate.
But of course, POA isn't anywhere near POI. I'm well aware that they were never re-zeroed or had their sights re-calibrated when they changed from the 156gr RN bullet to the 139gr spitzer bullet which clearly has a much flatter trajectory.
I'd really like the put a properly calibrated rear sight on, and then change the front sight blade to zero it out. Anyone use one of the Swedish "F-Ram" rear sights for these rifles? What about the "VASTERAS" rear sight inserts? Are those calibrated for M41 ammo? Any other "original equipment" options?
I'm not looking to modify the rifle at all, and would keep the original blade and sight leaf.
How much am I looking at changing the front sight blade? It currently has a "0" front sight blade on it.
