Does anyone know the release date of the Tac 14 Hardwood model? Remington's website says "unavailable" if you try to buy now and there is nothing in the Shot Show coverage.

It shouldn't. I read that Remington got their finances approved to keep the doors open while in bankruptcy. This product will actually sell as opposed to that shitty pistol line they've wasted millions of dollars on.

I already got 2 Shockwave Mossbergs, 1 is getting wood grips, but I may have to get a Hardwood Tac-14 too.

I have wanted this gun since the early 90’s! I can’t wait to pick one of these up.

Definitely going to change the mag tube extension to something that looks a little older though. Maybe I can find an old Wilson or Scattergun Tech extension.

Might just buy a magpul one and do the work myself. The bankruptcy definitely throws a wrench into things. I guess the DM versions will never make it either.

It depends on if the new owner wants to reorganize and focus on bringing the company back to profitability, or liquidate assets to settle the accounts and then scrap it. Or they could be looking for a buyer. We'll just have to wait and see...

That's not how Chapter 11 Bankruptcy works.

They arent shuttering their plants or ceasing operations.

It was also the holding company that declared it, not Remington Arms or any of the other dozen companies controlled by the holding company.

Man, it does look awesome, but with the recently (lack of) quality of remington I'm not sure I'd buy any new remington.

I wish that the rust stories about new Remingtons were overblown, but a buddy of mine has an 870 corroding in his safe since he bought it. He's taking care of it, but if his is any indication, then I'm leery. It's a shame, because I've wanted a Wilson 'Witness Protection' model since I read Jim Cirillo's article about it in the early 80s, when I was in middle school.

Ohhh.. so tempting. That will come out to be about $100 more than the factory tac-14 Hardwood... (that may be vaporware.)

My TAC-14 has run trouble free and has zero rust issues. The action is not as rough as my Mossberg shockwave. With a little more shooting it should get at smooth as my Wingmasters. I have no regrets about buying it.

Yes its mine. Got my grips from the same seller. It was a nice easy transaction. Took a little while to get here but wasnt too bad.

I hope this doesn't become vapor ware. I really like the wood vs synthetic furniture and the factory +1 mag tube. I'd just add a Mesa 6 round sidesaddle and it's done!
