I use my NV for like two hours ever day, so I guess you could say things are getting pretty serious.
I've tried several of the more budget-friendly ways of filming through my PVS-14, and although they work somewhat, they all leave a lot to be desired. The problem is, the next jump in "quality" is basically a 10X jump in price. And even then, solutions like the MOD Armory or UNV PVS-14 iPhone Adapter only work with old phones. Night Vision Outfitters has an aluminum adapter for $109, but info on it is skinny. BCO makes the LMPR out of what appears to be melted black playdough, and charges over $400 for it, without a power source. I really want to like that one, but these #BecauseNightVision pricing strategies are derpy.
This brings us to the TNVC FoneMate. It's $159. That's not a casual spend for me. Was hoping some of you owned one and could give some feedback. I'm going to be using it mostly for filming hand-held hunting videos where pigs are shot with thermal but also recorded by a bystander with NV.
