I'm wondering about the market for K31's.  I have a couple I've had for years.  I will be needing to move some so I can use the money to fix other things.  I don't see much chat about them on the net.  Is there a market for them?  Is Gun Broker the best avenue?  Or should I just keep them and find other ways to raise some money?

We just discussed this somewhere a few days ago.  Guys were saying they’re worth 450-550 now.   More than I would have estimated.  You may have a quick sale as it’s all secondary market with no current imports.

Depending on condition, beech vs walnut stock, etc. I've seen them selling in the range of $450-$600. I've seen some special (commemorative, anniversary, etc.) models going for much more. I bought mine in 2012 at a local shop for $225 + tax. It was made in 1945 and is in good condition overall.

I have noticed that K31s seem to sell pretty quickly here on the EE when they come up for sale.

EE would be one idea.
http://www.swissrifles.com probably has something similar. But if you spend much time there, you might change your mind.

$400+ depending on condition.

There was just two typical examples on another site listed for $345 each. They sold quickly with multiple "2nds if falls-through" replies.

Good luck finding one. They tend to all be great shooters

I got mine in the end of 2016 for 350 from Simpsons, good mechanically and very good rifling but un serialized bolt, mis matched mag, and a solid but well used stock withe about 90+ percent bluing left. And that was already when they started drying out. Also ammo seems to be kinda gone, I only have 400 rounds or so .

It seems they are 500 and up now

Had mine for 5 or 6 years, never bought ammo for it.

Should sell it but damn is it a fine piece of machinery.

I have a 96/11 that I never shoot because I shoot my K31. I want to get rid of it but its just so pretty in all aspects I keep talking myself out of selling it.

What's a good no-drill scope mount for these?

I've been parting with my K31 collection, so far common 1940's beech stock rifles have been selling within minutes of posting adds $400-500 range.

Wish I would have bought a ton more than I did when they were $79 They have been an excellent investment.

I have ,2 beech stocked k31's I bought from AIM long ago for $89, hand select. Will eventually leave 1 each to my twin sons. They love shooting the k31.
I've been buying up GP11 when I see it. Scored a few 480 rd cases off of Armslist locally for 40 cents a round

Wife saw what they've been going for and asked me if I might sell them. I laughed. She didn't like my reaction.

I bought a few from AIM back when you could get them for $89. They also had some sales where you could get "gunsmith specials" for $69. I think the seven I bought averaged out to $79 each. About a year ago I sold 4 through a local auctioneer. I got about $300 each for them. Was not too disappointed considering what I paid. I kept the best walnut and the best beech example, also the worst "gunsmith special" as  a shooter. The only thing wrong with the GS was someone tried to grind out the import mark and shipped it back to AIM when they could not get it off easily.

The beech version I kept is a one hole shooter at 100yds with a clamp on St Marie scope mount and GP11. Those K31's may have been the best deal in surplus history considering the quality of the rifles and the cost through AIM. Makes me wonder what they paid for them.

Up until the Feds killed it, we had a very active (dozens of new ads each day) gun section on Backpage.  Regular K31s sold at $350 in that market.
