Will it cause any issues if the suppressor has contact with the inside of the handguard.  I can hear it touching and as I screw it in

If the can is touching the hand-guard, then probably yes.  You could have a negative effect on accuracy.

This big time.  I had an issue with MLOK screws pushing against a suppressor tube and had the gun damn near shooting around corners.
