I’ve been running my S&W 76 suppressed with an 8.5” threaded barrel for years. Quiet and reliable but it’s long and cumbersome:

While on a trip to visit the legendary John Andrewski for unrelated work I was also very easily convinced to have an extra aftermarket barrel cut down to about 4.5” and threaded to match an unknown barrel shroud that I had sitting in my parts bin. I haven’t shot it yet, but it balances far better and is a lot more maneuverable. Plus I have yet to see another 76 with this shroud.

I bet it’s much handier now. Definitely looks better with the shorter barrel/can combo.
I love the look of the integrally suppressed 76’s. Nice 76 OP.

I wish there was something like this available right now. I really like the look.

The barrel would be easy enough to fabricate since aftermarket current production units are available. The shroud I’m not so sure though, I think you’d be relegated to cutting down an aftermarket MK760/SW760 shroud. If I knew the manufacturer of mine I’d tell ya but I’ve not been able to figure it out.
