I hate sounding like a broken record but I can't see throwing money at a brand that doesn't have a long track record of actually making and providing service when something is wrong. Especially when it's made in a country where there's questionable metallurgy, a history of social and market instability, and absolutely no concept of quality control in their industrial society.
While Stoeger has been around a long time, they have actually made very few things. They usually act as an importer and just put their name on things. Yes they are part of the Beretta/Benelli/Uberti group and that does give you some peace of mind as opposed to the other Turkish imports but it still doesn't instill confidence that 10 or 15 years down the road if there's a problem, they will be able to help. With the nature of things in Turkey, Stoeger really has no guarantee of long term control of their plant. Is it even their plant or is Khan or Hatsan or one of the other plants building them to Stoeger's design and shipping them out.
Stoeger was acquired to be the budget line for Beretta and Benelli. Cutting corners to cut costs is it's marketplace purpose. If you've got your mind set on a true performer like a Mustang, Challenger, or Corvette, are you really going to settle for a Fiesta, Neon, or a Cruze?
