I want to make a Kydex sheath for my Spyderco Salt for my kayak.  Do I risk melting or deforming the FRN handle with the temps necessary to form Kydex?

Internet research shows nylon to melt at >400 F, same internet shows + or - 300 F for molding kydex.  I'd probably risk it, however ymmv.

You will be fine. Wrap the handle in one layer of masking tape for a good fit
