Looks like PSA has their SR15 knockoff bolt coming out eventually.

For a knockoff barrel extension, or a standard AR barrel extension?

Ummmm, unless I am blind or missing something, all that picture shows is a KAC E3 bolt next to a standard bolt, which are not the same.  Someone correct me if I am wrong.  A standard bolt can can be used in a KAC extension in a pinch or emergency for a short period of time.  But that picture definitely does not show a comparative alternative to a KAC factory bolt (notice rounded lugs vs. square lugs).

@agnisco - PSA is now making E3- (or E3-ish) pattern bolts.

The patent ran out.

Believe that is PSA’s new bolt on the left.

New stuff from PSA shown at Shot Show.

Got it.  I was looking at that picture all wrong.  That’s good news that someone else is making one.

Does it utilize a reduced diameter cam pin as well?

Is this actually a drop-in E3 bolt replacement?

I would likely give one a try given I’ve been searching off and on for a non scalper market spare bolt for my CQB for at least a few years now.

If these will work then I’d try one because kac parts are scarce and when they show up it’s a stupid premium.

Any follow up info on these bolts?

I remember years ago thinking I should have a backup E3 bolt. Bought one for a good chunk of $. Probably 3 different uppers and 30k rounds later...... I sold the bolt.

E4?  That's 33% more.

Must be made from Aermet133.

It is not an E3 pattern bolt.

Finally, there will be 0 reason to buy an SR15 upper.

Did you say the same thing when the Ferrari body kit came out for the Pontiac Fiero?

Why buy a $500,000 1985 Lamborghini Countach, when I can get basically the same thing visually for 100 times less? From half a mile away, you can't even tell them apart.

I'd recommend checking with the PSA forum.
I don't think that there are a whole lot of KAC owners that want to risk going to an unknown, and even if they did, not really enough time for anyone not running dedicated testing cycles to have any real results.

C158 or 9310? I won’t buy any of their 9310 shit. Just search broken 9310 bolts on Reddit and they make up half of hundreds of results.

I doubt many people who pay up for a KAC upper would run a PSA bolt in it.

When can we expect to be able to purchase KAC E3.2 bolts by themselves? This I'm interested in.

Super cool.

And honestly, KAC won't sell them? Great, I hope a bunch of people make E3 pattern stuff.

I'd love an Aero precision E3 in 12.5 and 16". You could get 2-3 uppers for the price I paid for my KAC.

FYI,  per Centurion: it also uses a standard AR-15 cam pin and firing pin  ordered one to test out in the spare 14.5" mod2 upper i have.

That's neat, in the unlikely event I ever shot my mod 1 out, I wouldn't mind having an off the shelf source for a barrel/bolt replacement.
