Yea. Messed upnot buying first time around.

But  I thought “I don’t need another gun.”

That was maybe 6-10 guns ago.

I think I need one of those.

It’s so damn cool. My titanium form 1 can was practically made for this gun. I can ring steel like John Wick with this thing.

If you buy the new 'arm brace' version, you might not have a choice; if what some other BATFE related thread posts are implying comes to fruition.
MHO, YMMV, etc.  Be well.
Link Posted: 12/23/2020 7:35:42 PM EST
I’ll keep my original setup with a 16 inch barrel. Fucking ATF going full retard on braces dictates this at the current time. But those short barrels look fucking cool!
Link Posted: 12/23/2020 9:27:21 PM EST
The atf retracted that letter today, get the pistol version.

Does bulk pack high velocity ammo stay subsonic in that 8" barrel?

Link Posted: 12/24/2020 11:36:15 AM EST
No, still get a slight crack. CCI SV sounds awesome though.

Hopefully it's close enough that it will be subsonic in the heat of summer.  CCI SV stays subsonic in my 16" 15-22, but Aguilla SV is right on the edge in the summer and always cracks below about 75 degrees.  I'm hoping the 8" will be that way for HV bulk pack stuff.

We shall see, that would be great.

Grab a Gun has them in stock!
Merry Christmas 🎅

Grab-a-gun wants $549 for them...

I don't want to sound like a tight-ass but I am going to wait until someone local gets them in stock. Gun prices here are normal as can be but ammo is non-existent.

I cut my buffer tube off and added the Dan Haga rail. Easy install and worth it over this version.

I shot it today at about 20 yards just to get a rough off hand zero and it shoots really good groups. I did have 2 stovepipes out of 100 rounds, all the ammo was blazer. I hope it just needs "broken in" because its incredibly fun to shoot. I also shot my new TCR22 and it felt stupid and boring in comparison.

@SickMAK90

I've been eyeing one of these, but seen some reviews saying that theyre having problems with stove piping.

Have you had a chance to shoot yours some more?

Screw it. Ordered one last night.

These things are awesome. Set my Finace up with one for Christmas. Put a Romeo 5 on it. Shoots pretty dang good with mini mags.

I know I’m not who you asked the question of, but here’s my experience. We did have some issues with some ammo of unknown quality at first (old and dumped in a bag.)  those became less frequent after a while until they stopped. That was just the first day we shot it though.  We’ve Never had a malfunction with mini mags that day or since.

Two things I noticed.

It doesn’t really let you when the mag is seated. This caused some issues with my fiancé shooting it until we figured out she wasn’t fully seating the mag.

The mags seem to need a “break in”. At first, the mag would nose dive random rounds. After several loadings and reloading the issue stopped. I think this may have been part of what caused the issues with the cheap ammo.

Thank you. I figures it wasn't going to be a major issue.

I know I'm going to really dig it with the little QB form1 can I have.

Put a couple hundred rounds through mine today both suppressed and unsuppressed, and had a few issues feeding.
I had a one nose-dive in the mag, and a few times it had trouble stripping the first round off of a full magazine.
It did this with new and older magazines.
This was all with CCI standard velocity.

I'll strip it and clean it and see if it makes a difference.

It's a fun little gun.  I zeroed it at 25yds and had no issues ringing steel at 50 and 100.

The mags are super reliable if you load them “correctly”. Not sure if that’s what happened with yours but I can say both my 15-22s have always fed well.

Anybody else catch hell removing their FH?

My regular 15-22 was no problem, but this one must be gorilla'd on.

Mine was a total bitch. The barrel actually spun in the upper and I ended up cutting off the handguard end cap so I could slide the handguard forward to clamp on the actual barrel. Glad I didn't wreck the upper when the barrel spun but I found them for $20 at Numrich.

Damn that sucks. I finally got mine off by clamping a pair of locking pliers onto the FH and giving it a few sharp blows with a hammer.
Link Posted: 1/17/2021 7:24:04 PM EST
Finally got around to shooting it today.

Shot 120 rounds mix of CCI SV, Geco Match, and SK Standard. Had a couple of stove pipes with the SK (maybe one with the CCI but not sure) and one short stroke with the Match which was odd as I was using a suppressor. I'm going to chalk that up to an ammo issue.

I will take it back down and do a thorough cleaning and hopefully it is just breaking in.

One thing I noticed when I did the initial clean is it has a painted white spring while my regular MP 15-22 is painted blue. Almost like the way Sprinco marks their springs.

I would guess the white spring in the pistol is a little shorter than the blue one or it has a little less tension to help with cycling with the shorter dwell time.
