So... I've got a 10" Stevens 311 SBS that I talked about in my other thread. I was thinking it might be handy to have a sling on the old girl, even if it looks a little odd. Has anybody hereabouts put a sling on a side-by-side SBS? I'm mainly interested in how and where y'all might have mounted the forward swivel.

In for replies. I’m thinking about doing a kydex or leather “holster”
For mine. Something to keep it contained but seems silly (and dangerous) to have something that shot, loaded, swinging around

Do you use a sling on your rifle? What's the difference? Serious question.

I do. But between the barrel length (7.5”) and can it doesn’t flag my body besides my feet when I’m moving around.

I would be concerned that a short shotgun like you built (and remember I know cause I’m stealing your design) would be too small, and could pivot enough to flag your offside arm or chest. Not sure, but I would be concerned with that.

I also don’t sling my Glock with flux brace for the same reason, and the trigger wouldn’t be covered. So that’s holster or cruiser ready.

You may want to look into a Bonnie and Clyde style whippet holster/sling. Single point that rode like a shoulder holster that they would just rotate up and shoot.

Or I think it’s called the hideout or holdout holster for the Marshal service. Held an SBS and a Glock in a shoulder holster
