Like in previous years, I’m taking requests to gather information and pictures on the latest a greatest that debuts at SHOT Show. If you want me to swing by a booth, ask questions or take pics, please let me know. A couple of forum members have my number (@bradpierson26 and @engineer ?) to text me if something is urgent. Otherwise I’ll check this thread periodically throughout the day. The show starts the week of 1/21.
For the sake of time, let’s just keep it to silencers and related gear. |

I'd like to hear the latest from the 3 newcomers to 3D printing from last year--Thermal Defense, Ellison, and HP Manufacturing.
Also, look for LunaTech--they are the company behind the teaser on IG of the suppressor they grabbed with a bare hand after several mags. |
|
Nothing specifically. I always enjoy watching your vids, reading the blogs etc.......... I'm sure your capable of sniffing out all the NFA awesome that will be on display at the show. Thanks for doing what you guys do to share all the up and coming stuff for those of us who can't attend something like shot. I'd love to get a chance to check shot out at some point.

Can anybody confirm the new Jesse James silencers that are ribbed and vibrate?

Would like to see the inside of the GSL cans. All they seem to show are black tubes.

We've been so busy we haven't released our new silencers. If you get a chance to stop by it would be cool to see you again.

Looking forward to this year, my visit will be focus on mainly suppressor’s and the like. Lots of booths to be hitting up.

I attended this event many years ago when it was in Orlando through some connections I had. Fun show. Check out OSS. Nothing new I don’t think but these guys are working hard to compete and improve brand acceptance. Plus, I have one coming, ??

I'll be there this year as well to check it out. Can't wait to see all of it.

Can you swing by the S&W booth and get a feel for what's going on with Gemtech?
Just want to find out if they're planning on supporting/continuing earlier designs or are going to be developing a new lineup of suppressors. Thanks! |
|
Have a good time! Looking forward to your reports.
Nothing specific on my end - don't know if it's worth stopping by the ATF booth to see if they have anything to say about trying to speed up processing times or how they are dealing with people stuck in background check. |

Quoted: Any ETA on new models? View Quote I would expect internet sales tax to destroy some business models in the firearms industry and outside- mostly small businesses being severely disrupted or shut down. That was stupid, horribly burdensome regulation which just raises an already high tax structure and provides funds that state governments didn't even depend on previously, or in many cases also didn't need. |

Quoted: We have 4 new model unreleased suppressors produced and ready to sell. We just don't want to jump the gun on the market release without a media package put together. They will be at SHOT. It was a busy year, we had to get ready for internet sales tax compliance (paying taxes correctly on up to 3007 potentially different rules by county in states with up to 50 different filing frequencies and unique filing systems, wherever we are likely to meet the economic Nexus for payment now required by a supreme court decision), and that required a new website, so we had to completely replace a well developed website. We developed something like 30 new products (muzzle device skus, barrels, micro comps, the Paladin 5 suppressor and the 4 others, some of those products also unreleased). I would expect internet sales tax to destroy some business models in the firearms industry and outside- mostly small businesses being severely disrupted or shut down. View Quote Similar to Black Friday, I seem to recall major product releases the 10 days leading up to SHOT, some even available for purchase same day which led to some consumers blowing their wad before Monday morning at SHOT. Is there any real concern over this or is gat such a small market segment, it’s fine to stick to SHOT week announcements? |

Definitely - they seem to be going obsolete. View Quote This gets the market off your back for 12 months while you actually develop new things with S&Ws money. Call it the Massachusetts Special and ship 5000 of them to a Major Arf dealer who will sell them at cost just to get more Gemtechs in public hands Geez, I should charge a consulting fee for this wisdom And holy shit, do a run of MK9Ks while you’re at it |

Quoted: Internet sales tax is truly a burden designed to run the small entrepreneur out of business. In addition to all the venues listed above, registration in each venue will be necessary and many have penalties for late filing of tax reports even if no tax is due!
