I finally ended my cycle of hope on loving the Gen 1 Patrol and traded it in with a stack of cash for a Gen 2 DMR. Even after a bolt replacement from Sig I could just not bring myself to love the rifle.

Holy hell, the Gen 2 DMR rifle is a shooter.

I was at the 100 yard line with Federal 175 SMK printing 1/2 and 3/4 inch 5 shot groups.

The huge reduction in weight and decent trigger are awesome in addition to the FDE sex appeal.

Downside, cheek weld is almost chin weld; horrible. I have a Larue solution on the way.

More updates with target pics to come after I get the RISR installed and get back out to the range next weekend.

My late 2017 model G1 Patrol FDE runs great but the new G2 have some great features.
