My uncle has a NIB, unfired Belgium Scar 16s FDE. He wants to sell it.
He wants to know what a fair price would be. He doesn’t
Have access to Gunbroker, so he would need to sell Locally.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

$2200.00-$2400.00

Being from Belgium does not add much especially the new charging handles are what people have been asking for a decade now.

This dude is way off. Brand new in box your still easily $2,800-$3,000. Especially for the Belgium made which is more desirable for a lot of guys. First poster is trying to get themselves a hell of a deal.

You’re not correct. Maybe 10 years ago, but not now.

Belgian made ones bring substantially more money. First poster is fishing for a deal!

Bought my FDE Belgian 16 used for $2200 in April 2020 off the EE here. Bought a black Belgian 16 locally for $2100 just months earlier, sold it for a little more than that later.

OP - it depends on how quickly he wants to make a sale, and what price he's comfortable with.

Gunbroker/past sales prices on forums/markets are just a starting point, but there has been a lot of volatility. Gunbroker also deletes listings after a month, so you are not getting the whole picture of sales activity for the year. I've had trouble selling things that fetched twice on gunbroker - the people overpaying were nowhere to be seen when I put it up for sale, even though mine was much cheaper.

Belgian marked is only worth a premium to some people. Being Belgian marked doesn't necessarily mean it will fetch a higher price, but it does mean that someone looking for a Belgian marked gun is going to be more interested/committed and less likely to haggle/tirekick.

You are wrong. Belgium Herstal marked SCARs are sought after more than the FN USA marked one.

There’s a bunch of 16S’ on gunbroker priced high with no bids and one that is getting bids and it’s in the $1,600’s heading up. Not a big market for 16S’ priced over the low $2,000’s right now. The economy sux.

That non-Belgian Scar 16S on gunbroker has the preferred NRCH and just got bid over $2,000 with 6 hours to go.

So i was right; actually generous.

I have 4 Belgium rifles; owned scars since 2014-15.

Market is tough nowadays
