Down to $160 for a 1092rd crate, nice Russian surplus stuff (full power, not anemic like PPU or Fiocchi).
Get it while it's hot... |
|
I have half a case already that I paid quite a bit more for. Can't imagine how long it would take me to go through an additional 1092 rounds in my one, slow to shoot and slow to clean revolver. Yeah, that ammo has corrosive primers.
What did shipping run? That's something I dislike about ordering from SOG...they don't tell you up front what your shipping will be. They just add it on when they ship. Could be $15. Could be $35. Rob |

Damn that's a GREAT price.
I probably shouldn't, but I'm seriously tempted to buy 1092 rounds of the stuff. (You get a break to $2.05/box, if you buy 78 boxes.) |
|
My notes say I paid about $3.91 per box delivered when I bought a case to share with a couple of friends. I have 750 rounds still from then.
WANT to buy another case. Probably already have a lifetime supply. Rob |
|
I bought about 200 rounds of the stuff when I picked up my Nagant revolver. Still haven't shot it all after owning for years. While this would certainly be a lifetime supply for cheap, do I really need it?

i havent shot the surplus stuff in awhile but I remember it being much hotter than the new commercial stuff. just bought a case

Mine arrived yesterday and also came in a girl scout cookie box.
Sealed spam can, no opener (didn't expect one). This is probably three lifetimes worth of Nagant ammo for me, but at least it will motivate some practice using a heavy trigger accurately |

I opened the can and the ammo looks great; shiny brass cases in little card board boxes. I'm sure my kids will still be shooting this stuff when I'm gone, but at $.16/round delivered, you can't miss. |
|
I couldn't resist at this price.
2 cans on the way! I will wear out my Nagant revolver before I get all of this shot up! Just an FYI it was $19 shipping per can to southern MO. |

Even the per box rate isn’t bad -$2.25 per 14. I picked up 25 boxes - 350 more rounds - even though I didn’t really need it. I’ve always said shooting a Nagant is a small step above ball & cap. Makes a Single Action Army look fast to unload.
Decent price on Romanian 7.62x25 - 16.95 per 72. (23.5 per round) compared to 34-36 per for PPU or S&B. No case discount - but I picked up 7 more boxes for the stack. I’ve had great luck with it in the past. Corrosive- but clean, surefire, & reasonably hot. And a Tok is so easy to strip & clean that I don’t think corrosive is a big deal. |
|
I’ve worked up a load for this years ago when the cheap surplus dried up. I couldn’t pass up this price.

Live inventory. As of a short while ago they have under 20 boxes left

I ordered a case and got charged 2.11/box instead of 2.05. I'm not quibbling over less than $5 but I was wondering if anyone else got that?
|
|
Credit card fee? My original order said $159.90 but when they sent the actual invoice including shipping, it was $164.58. I figured it was a 3% CC upcharge (or 2.9%).
See the Terms for the 3% CC disclosure. it looks like they applied the 3% at the BOX level and then rounded down to $2.11 and multiplied by the 78 boxes. http://www.southernohiogun.com/help-info/terms-conditions It is actually pretty lame since they ONLY take Credit Cards or COD. How the F else are you supposed to pay? Rob |
|
Yeah. I forgot about that. Thanks. You're right though. Why not just increase your price to reflect?

I will caution people to shoot their Nagant before buying cases of ammo for it.
Heaviest, worst feeling trigger ever. |

@governmentman
It is showing back in stock in case quantities at the moment. |

Got an email from SOG today asking for a copy of my license to carry permit. Took a pic with my phone and attached the pic to the email and said thank you for shipping to us here in CT!!!

My Girl Scout Cookies came today. Multi-lifetime supply of Nagant revolver ammo secured.
Rob |

Fine. As horrible as it is, I'll join you guys in stacking x38r deep. Guess my Nagant revolver and I are going to get a lot more cozy at the range. Ugh...

Girl scout cookies came in... my wife was excited to see and said "that's alot of girl scout cookies, or is it not really girl scout cookies???" I just smiled and said you're not gonna wanna eat these...
|
|
Got mine, also in cookie box.
Both cans are in great shape. Powder batch number and manufacture date match between the cans. '78 manufacture I bought a few extra loose boxes so I won't have to open a can right away |
|
mine also came in a girl scout cookie box
it was hilarious with the gf HOW MANY POUNDS OF COOKIES DID YOU ORDER?!?!!? as she dragged the box inside |
