Going through some boxes and found a couple of flyers from September of 2007.
I miss the good old days.

Sigh.  You're going to make me start crying!

I remember the $50 91/30s and $50 VZ-24 U-fixem's that Century had back in 2001-2002.

I wish those prices would've held out a few more years.  I finished up college in May 2007.

In the early 2000's I bought a M44 mosin from the Centerfire tent at Knob Creek for $25.  Those were the days.....

From late 90's to around '10 I had an FFL, I cleaned up, built a decent collection and loaded up on cheap ammo.  Sadly those days are forever gone.
The UPS guy hated me.

I'll chime in and indeed those were the days. I turned 18 in 2004 and started buying then and I bought a lot between then and 2008 or so, I got in on the tail end of the cheap days. There were still some deals to be had up until around 2015 or so and then things really dried up. I still have all that ammo I bought back in those days and some of the rifles, I'll be able to shoot 54R and 8mm until I'm too old to shoot anymore.

I spent every spare penny I had on those guns and that ammo!

I too have enough for grandkids to shoot like there is no tomorrow.

And I was able to "turn back the clock" so to speak a couple of years ago.

A guy had went just as nuts as I had buying surplus guns and ammo and was wanting to downsize his collection.

He sold me thousands of rounds of ammo and several rifles for almost what he had given back in the salad days!

I bought $3,500 worth of stuff from him and probably doubled my 7.62x54R stash in that one day!

I still feel bad about those days......Was in on buying the tail end 2005-2008 (born 91).   I mean....my "dad" was buying stuff that I shot almost exclusively.

I loved the military surplus rifles, any and all of them.

Being a stupid kid I let my dad and uncles talk me into buying more "good deer rifles rather than them junk military guns".

Woulda had one or 4 of everything with the prices I paid for nice deer rifles and scopes that I could really care less about now.

I bought surplus guns and ammo back then and earlier.  I started selling some a few weeks ago and am now sitting on a big pile of cash.

Yea, those sure were the good old days. I let my C&R lapse in '08. Just today sent in my app for a new C&R. Somewhere I have some old ads too. I think I finally tossed all my Shotgun News' from back in the day though. I still have all the milsurp stuff I got back then, but my interests have expanded in to late 19th early 20th century stuff. I should probably glue my wallet shut, if I have any sense at all.

Wish they were still around.   Their warehouse was about 2 miles from my house.  It made it too easy to order something and stop by to pick the order up.
