Whoo that’s a lot. Not sure what mine weighs but all I added was an 11/RMR, hell I did a P&W just to get it that much smaller. I like the 17 for being so handy, I let my MWS and OBR compete to be the porkers in my .308 family.

ETA well I take that back a little. A stock 17 is, what, 8lb? Mine is probably pushing a little over 9.

SCAR 17s FDE
Elcan SpectreDR 1.5x/6x
Magpul handstop

9.4lbs

Don't plan on adding anything else.  Operates great just the way it is.

Is that with loaded mag weight? Because the loaded 17 mag is 1 LB 10 ounces.

A stock SCAR 17 is 8 LBS plus loaded mag totals 9 lbs 10 ounces plus Elcan bring is up to 11 LBS 1 ounce plus magpul handstop 2.5 ounces

Total 11LBS 3.5 ounces wow

You don't need an AR, you need a gym membership

@Vdab890 this is a completely different rifle 308 vs 556 isn’t comparable 1Lb of 556 is nearly 40 rounds, where 308 is 19. I’m trying to see what different SCAR 17 set ups weight. This can help others in the future select the right stuff for what they are looking for. So please this is not GD if you have nothing beneficial for the discussion please keep GD in GD.

TLDR? Go be poor in GD
