| The mag button came from Valkyrie Tactical. Now for the red ruby eyes, I purchased them at Michaels craft store. I had to drill the eye sockets a bit so the plastic rubys would sit flush, then I used some superglue to hold them in place. Been in there for about 2 years now. The craft store had many colors to choose from. If you do this, take the mag button with you so you get the propper size . Thanks for the comments. |

I just got my form 1 in the mail on Friday. Went to the range in the middle of the snow storm and shot off 3 mags while trees were snapping all around.
It wasn't as loud as I thought it would be but, the flash was bigger than I expected. Anywho DD mk18 upper, Spikes lower, CTR, MIAD and Troy BUIS. I am looking to put a T1 on if i can find one to try. http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y143/lees99f150/IMG_0739.jpg |

http://i484.photobucket.com/albums/rr209/rhaney02/C3004.jpg Nice set up, how does the UBR feel with the 10.5? Had pretty good balance but was heavy. That was the 2nd rebuild. 3rd rebuild- After the M4 rail and UBR came a SOPMOD with MK18 rail and BattleComp 
4th rebuild-Then came a TRX-E, Vltor IMOD, and another KX3-That's where it is now and am pretty happy with it.
All pics are reposts, but you're now up to speed with my overtakings and underdoings.

Lower 1. C3 Defense Enhanced Lower 2. KNS Pins 3. Ergo Grip 4. Vltor Imod 5. Geiselle SD3G Upper 1. Rainier Arms Stripped Upper 2. Troy 9" Standard Battlerail 3. 10.5" White Oak Armament SS Barrel 4. Surefire 6P in a QD Vltor 1" Mount 5. DPMS Levang (want to change it out...) 6. Troy BUIS 7. EoTech XPS 2-0 8. Spikes NiB BCG  I shot it for the first time yesterday and I don't think I'm a fan of the Levang. I know a 10.5 is going to be loud, but I was hoping the forward ports would help with sound. It wasn't terrible, but it was also jumpier than I thought it would be. How did you like the BattleComp? I'm seriously considering ordering one, but $150 for a muzzle device is steep. I'd like some opinions before I drop the coin on it. Also - What buffer are you running in yours? I have an H, but was thinking an H2 might soften it up a little as well. |

Nice job Poppy, it turned out great! As far as the BattleComp is concerned, it worked great with muzzle rise, but had a fair amount of concussion and flash that you could see through the optic when firing. I will probably try another one at some point, but it will be on one of my 16" guns.
Maybe Dog1 or one of the others that still shoot them on their SBR could give you more input. The buffer I'm running is a DD T2 Tungsten buffer that I believe was made for them by Spike's and sold by AIM a couple years ago. Basically the same thing as a Spike's ST T2 without the Spider. |

This is very similar to my current pistol/future SBR project. I'm going with an American spirit arms 7.5 chrome lined barrel and a flaming pig. Otherwise the same but with a collapsable stock.
