Ok, so for some reason I REALLY have the urge to have an SBR'd AK. Here's the rub; in MD it still has to be an OAL of at least 29". If it's less, you'll have to P/W the muzzle device etc (what's the point of that? Might as well keep it a pistol and brace it). Anyway, it looks like if I go with a CNC warrior 9" (or even 8") triangle folder the Draco and Hellpup will still make OAL. Unfortunately, the ZPAP and MiniJack won't. Anyway, are there any that I'm missing? I presume that Hellpup>Draco? Are there adaptors available for the hellpup to mount a triangle folder, I really don't like the look of the Polish "wire" folder.

My M92 with Ace folding mechanism and Ace stock is listed at 28.9" on the form 1 from December 2015. I think I used their 8.5" stock. If memory serves me, I think they make/made a 9.5" version also.

To be honest, I don't remember if the measurement is folded or extended.

ETA...so it looks like the Zpap92 is 19.3" without the booster. Even with the CNC Warrior or doublestar 9.5" stock, it's not quite 29". Sooooo close.

There may be hope! Zpap w/o booster, 19.3". Doublestar stock 9.5". BUT I forgot I need to get the folding mechanism which adds .55"

29.35"!!!!!!

That's without the SLR brake. It's not permanently attached.

CNC Warrior does make 2 different lengths. Also the butt pad adds an extra half inch to the LOP

Ironically a screwed on muzzle device does not = OAL. Needs pinning and welding.
But a screwed on recoil pad does count toward OAL apparently.

Also it wouldn't be hard to fabricate some spacers would it?

Lol. It's not rocket science. I shoot in Maryland competitions, and get to follow their goofy laws. I epoxied a leftover Ruger stock extension on the back. Still need to clean it up, but it does the job.

I've got a draco all zenitcoed out. I like it because it looks cool but don't love it with the zenitco because I'm too weak.

I do think the draco is a good host.

I had a pap m92 sbr but sold it to a friend.

what's the OAL of a standard underfolder? with its stock folded its just under 26", how much longer can it be with the short stock length extended.

on the other hand, a few inches of extra barrel and it should be easy to meet the 29" requirement with a stock, and this matches a known Russian export config.
