What do you like or recommend for a 5.56 integral suppressed upper and why is it better than the others?

Thanks

I think the question that has to be asked is—why do you want an integral suppressed upper? There’s definitely some drawbacks there and they aren’t super common for a reason.

This. And with a round that doesn’t suppress that well. I get integrals for subsonic applications.

Especially with tax stamps going to zero$, I wouldn't do it.
I'd find the suppressor I want at a black Friday sale for $200 off, submit that now to take advantage of the short wait.

Then Jan 1, register the lower for $0 and run it as a pistol until it clears.

He wants an integral upper so he can go across state lines without a 5320.20

Not worth it IMO.

Apparently the OP thinks it is.

Really don't understand the issues with the 5320.20.  It takes like 10 minutes once a freaking year.  It's not even an approval, you are just giving them a heads up.  And now it's in eforms, makes it even easier.

My whole point is that I wouldn’t buy that upper if I had 2K lying around, and would pick the G$ every time.

The integral Ar15 is kind of an interesting concept.  The only one I ever shot was metering something stupid muzzle like 128DB, but was like 149DB ear.  It was a one off made by a really eccentric firearms company and was demonstrated by the owner of that company at an event in Arizona. The integral AR15 would be kind of a big project to do something that actually improved on currently available muzzle cans that have a lot of time and investment in development.  The cost of integrals goes way up because the parts are huge, and the manufacturing volumes small.

Yes I'm trying to avoid dealing with 5320-20 forms.

Gemtech isn’t remotely the old Gemtech anymore. Some of the companies that got bought up still provide legacy service like AAC, some don’t. It’s the way it is.

Well I have maybe 7-9 AAC cans and when I reached out to them they also had no interest in providing any service. There are too many great companies to purchase from than these two

I understand that it's frustrating but it's common practice and not unreasonable in my opinion. It's the same way with imported guns when they switch importers.
