I am not as old as you. The only firearm I owned in the 80s was a fudd rifle Mossberg 7mm magnum my dad bought me for $60 and I don't own it anymore.

I think you are missing the point of having bragging rights of being able to buy guns back in the day.

But I did own a pair of parachute pants in the 80s

Former Israeli boarder guard Mauser 66 sniper in .308. Very few made and imported, traded it for a NIB green AUG back in the 90's. Then sold the AUG for $3k!
