The other two threads got archived. Hopefully this one does better.

So that’s where all the Virtus “TACOPS” production is going, to Australia?

I'll toggle the archive on this if you want to keep compiling. I don't remember seeing the part 1.

Sometimes it goes months in-between posts when new pictures are posted. That would be very helpful. This was the OG thread that went to archive: https://www.ar15.com/forums/armory/MCX-in-the-wild-pics/45-508229/ |

Thanks, man. Appreciate the fix!
Rock on. |

These pic threads always amaze me at how much adoption the 300BLK really has obtained. There are some 5.56 MCX setups out there for sure but the vast majority appear to be a SBR 300BLK setup of some sort.

Short barrel / cqb + suppressor x doorkicker = 300BLK Agreed, it does make for a wonderful match. Was more a comment of appreciation that multiple orgs/groups are choosing a suppressed 300blk SBR setup over doing a full size MP5/suppressed direction in 9mm. Seems the MCX is the MP5 killer and not the MPX. |

The MPX was a sub developed project as an MP5 replacement for agencies that wouldn't adopt 300 and wanted to stick with pistol calibers. Essentially you can "kill" the MP5 in 2 ways. Have a better product in that category. Or shooter that the category itself is obsolete. The MCX development was pretty cool |

Everything I've seen, heard, and read was that honeybadger was a COTS proof of concept. To acquire a weapon system, they needed a program of record with stated requirements and an open competition. View Quote HALO was the original program name at SIG for the MCX/LVAW program. Essentially it started as a highly modify 516 but then morphed so many times in so many iterations it shares nothing in common with its ancestor. HALO was developed to answer LVAW but then turned into a whole system... From an MP5 replacement to a standard issue carbine replacement. I think that was a huge selling point in its ultimate victory. It was spun off into the MPX and the rifle was renamed the MCX. Past that, there really won't be much info on early MCX/HALO until Vickers Guide releases an MCX book in 20 years. |

Soldier Systems has a good preview of the original HALO offering from 2013:

I find the long barrelled MPX interesting. What an odd combination for a duty weapon.

Also I didn't know the Danish Jaeger Corps had adopted the MCX as well. That's cool. |

There's a new IG account I've been following @mcxinthewild specifically posting this content.
Just passing along as an FYI, I have no affiliation with that account, but he has some pics I haven't seen elsewhere. |

^ I haven’t seen a bunch of those either. Just makes you realize how many units around the globe have adopted the MCX platform. Helps one understand the limited supply for the consumer market as Sig tries to meet all the demand they have for it. I’m sure plenty of other units are in the process of considering it as well.
