Wow, that's a nice Garand. Is the cone-shaped thing on the muzzle a flash hider?

Yes.

And nope. Don't work in a museum, just the right place at the right time, and willing to buy.

It kills most guys to find out I bought this M1D, complete and as mentioned, unissued shape, for $450.

Here's my Japanese stuff so far. I still am looking for a good rear pouch and oiler. But still can't bring myself to spend the big bucks.

This is the 2nd model of the Type 99. aka paratroop take down in 7.7jap. Other than the ground mum, I'm pretty happy with the shape. Not a lot of blue wear and pretty well unissued shape. Crude manufacturing.

With it is the Type 14 Nambu with lanyard.

The helmet has been repainted, but still has the original name inside (the goober who painted it at least knew not to paint over the name).

And because of my heritage, I've collected a bit of Norwegian stuff.
The Kongsberg Krag Model 1916 in 6.5 with bayonet. I've got to put the nose "strengthening" piece back on.
Also the Kongsberg Model 1914 pistol in 11.25mm.
Got the associated leather and kit. I picked up the proper shoulder straps and belt. The one in the pic is of a police belt and cross strap.
Also have the ww2 era great coat and helmet/gas mask.
Hardest thing to find was the pouch for the 3 magazines.

Also, if this ain't the right place for these types of pics, could someone, mod, let me know.

My two C&R Rifles.

1943-vintage, Springfield Armory M1 Garand.

Hopefully, they will not be my last ones.

it's ground.

I have one barreled receiver along with most of the bolt that has an untouched mum.  It's just been hard to find decent prices on the rest of the parts needed to complete it.

These all qualify as C&R, but I don't have a license.

From bottom of the picture up:

- Izhvesk 1944 M44
- Izhvesk 1945 M38
- Chatterault/Finn 1894/1944 M91/30
- Tula 1929 M91/30 updated Dragoon (further converted into a sniper replica)
- Tula 1932 M91/30
- Izhvesk 1939 M91/30
- Izhvesk 1940/43 M91/30 'MO' marked

I have another Izhevsk M38 from 1943, but the stock is cracked and it's mostly kept for parts.  I had a Polish 1955 M44 but just sold it about a week ago.

Figured I didn't see any of these.  A few C&R S&W's.

1917 with commercial style grips.

1946 .44 spl. HE.  Possibly sold to the Wahington State Patrol.  Still waiting on the letter.

WWII Victory model.  No U.S. markings.  Probably stayed in the States.

Now the common stuff:
