Thanks. ETA: i see they list it on their website, $250 off to buy the .22, $415 if you get a center fire as well. View Quote @DV8EDD I have seen the FTE issues mentioned around the web. All I can give you is my experience. In the little I shot it, I could see how some may complain, especially at first. I found that if I was forceful with the bolt, it ejected just fine. If I babied it, it seemed to hang up. Mine also has the jiggly bolt handle. That may throw some off as well about being rough with it. Dunno for sure. It did smooth out after the first few mags. Overall, I am pretty happy with my purchase though as it shot really well with the SK Long Range Match and decent enough for rabbit purposes with mini mags. With a mask on the front end and a 1-4 on top, it makes one hell of a 100 yard and in small game rig I think. Didn’t really need another 22, but glad I grabbed it. Especially for the price given the rebate. |

I went into the local toy store today and walked out with these:
Attached File A stainless Taurus 62 in .22 lr and a S&W 10-5 in .38 SPL (made in 1977). I paid $500 for the Taurus, which isn't too bad, I suppose, considering they seem to be listed at $600 without the tang sight and the sight is listed for another $100, by itself, on Gunbroker. |

Started out as a basic 10/22, bought specifically for Appleseed. I earned a couple of Rifleman patches, and decided to see how accurate I could make it. It can almost keep up with my B14R now.
Attached File Before the Timney CE trigger install Attached File KRG Bravo stock KSA barrel Timney Calvin Elite trigger USO 3-12 scope cheap bipod, cheap linear muzzle brake (placeholder until the can is out of jail) ETA on 10/7/2022 More proof that a 10/22 build is never 'done'. I recently added a VQ carbon fiber barrel. The rifle was really accurate, but it weighed a ton. Now it's accurate AND light. Attached File (and I'm still waiting on ATF for the can......day 90) |

No modding, I was setup and ready to do some sanding / fitting, but the barrel went in nice and snug I didn't have to muscle it in. 11/22 receiver question , how solid does the top slide plate feel with the spring/detent pin holding it in place ? Very solid, I had to use a punch to get the pin part of the way out the first couple times. Put some oil on it and worked it back and forth until it comes out without a punch. Without the pin in place you can tilt the receiver back and the cover will slide off. With the pin in place it's solid, no rattle. My FFL is a machinist and he was impressed with the tolerances. looking at both " sort of " your options , except I want " the niner " barrel. The day my Mask cleared I went to go pick it up from my dealer and my wife spotted it on their shelf, not knowing what it was, she just saw it and had wanted a 22 bolt gun. Dealer says yeah it came in today, I said well take it down, it’s coming with us . To this day I haven’t been more pleased with a firearm purchase. All I can say is the Ruger American Rimfire compact and the Dead Air Mask are a match made in heaven. Attached File |

I'm sure it's a good combo, but I have to wait to find that one out. I'm thinking of a few mods I want to do specifically to this compact. The other 2 are stainless and scoped. I wanted another with just irons or a dot. |
