I've got an older, but in good condition, CVA kit build my dad had when he died. I've had it 20 years and want to shoot it. So I've been getting stuff together to do so. It's a sidelock of course. But I'm try to find out what size caps I need. There's no markings on the nipple anywhere. Googling hasn't helped much. Being a .50 cal pistol is it 10 or 11s?

Caliber has nothing to do with it.  It's about the nipple.  Most commonly used caps are 11s.

Either cap will work.  11's are easier to find now.
