First, the stopped models had more parts that were specific to only those models, so it was a drain to stock/obtain them in quantity. Also, and probably more like an extension of the first, the difficulty in getting the HK33 handguard. |

Sadly that appears to be the case, maybe I'll start hunting a FAL pistol instead. Really wanted the K3P though...

I had been hunting one for a while. I missed out on one a few hours from me and was sad that I missed it. I wonder if they will come out with some like it? I doubt it. Hmm I don't really want the 8.5" version but I might have to.

I emailed PTR a few months back asking status and they said there is no set production schedule due to lack of a handguard.
Which is odd because they've had a tactical metal handguard for that length for years. Too bad, I'd love to get one |

At this time they are only producing the PTR .308 pistols in small numbers with the shorter barrel set up.They may bring back the longer models later in the year but there has been no official announcement of this. Hopefully their 308 option availability will continue to improve in 2022.

I know as soon as I purchase this other item I'm look at I'll get an email from AF notifying me the K3P is in stock.

Same problem as everyone else. I couldn't make up my mind if I wanted the 8.5" or 12.5" .308. Well of course they all go out of stock & I finally decide that I want the K3P. Since then the 8.5" has come back in stock twice but no more K3P.
