My newest gift to myself. SwissChamp Swiss Army Knife. It's always in my pocket and it goes everywhere I go. I've had it for about 4 days now and it's been nothing but helpful. It even has a ballpoint pin!  Closed view:  Open view (to lazy to take one myself):

my 1st post!!! ok so here it goes. if the pics dont work sorry. im a noob. The top one is a Benchmade Resistor Snody, the bottom is a Sypderco Native II or III with Stainless Steel grip. http://i237.photobucket.com/albums/ff290/matt_the_hokie/IMG_0499.jpg these are my dads, he found a discount knife website and bought a bunch of cool stuff online. This is my oldest/rarest. Hippo tooth Sghian Dhu. 100+ yrs old. Traditional blade. Custom in old Scotland meant check your weapons at the door and respect meant never to be completely unarmed lest you be unable to defend your host. This was tucked into the stocking unless treachery was your game.  Stay safe |

The black and white lever action is some Italian switchblade. I think it's a Massaro but it's pretty hard to tell with some of these Italian knives. They're a pretty incestuous lot . . . The second, the aged white/yellow swingguard is an AKC, also Italian. The third is a Mikov, a Czech made lever lock auto. Here's a couple of mine. First is a dagger made from scraps. A few inches of damascus, some reconstituted turquoise, walnut and brass I had sitting around from other projects, and so on. Here's what I'm working on now. Curapau scales, 3 3/8" blade, not legal to carry, and so on. Still need to finish shaping the scales and polish everything.

from top to bottom E2D surefire Executive defender i have that with me every day and will soon be replaced by the E2DL next is the Benchmade Infidel 3300 then a Kershaw 1570 I LOVE THIS KNIFE it is the sharpest out of the box knife I have ever had and is in my pocket everyday then a Kershaw 1660BB

It's not a blade, but I'm proud of it... I hand carved this eastern style Ball-Headed Warclub from cherry heartwood back in october of '04. Even though the ball part is stained a different color, this is one solid piece of wood. The spike is polished and sharpened white tail deer antler tine, set in about 1.5" and epoxied. The handle wrap is deerskin. I consider it my best work.  |

Thank you! I used no power tools whatsoever in making it. All I used was a couple knives, a wood rasp, and a saw. I even sanded it by hand with sandpaper and sanding sponges. Three or four hours a day for about three weeks to finish it. |
My favorite Big Blade is the khukri, obviously, but for a more western style knife, that knife you posted is what I like. It's sort of a short machete or long butcher knife. It's simple and very effective. It's a true and pure working design without any mall ninja tacticool silliness. It reminds me of another one of favorites; the RTAK by 0ntario, but the handle design on yours is more appealing to me. Here's some more war club pics:   |

Not yet Matt, The baby has seen light use around the house, but our last campout got snowed in, heheh. Another is coming up, and I hope to make some hardwood walking sticks. Ray's got another large camp knife on BF now, and for $135 a steal! I still haven't gotten a Wilson yet, but I keep checking. Here's one I have my eye on...  Here's a stock pic of a Rehrer Mako I grabbed. I love the handle shape.  I also napped one of Stuart Willis' hawks.
