Kuraki's blade.  6" 1095 3/16" thick, parked, g10 handles.  FFG.  Came sharp enough that I don't have to sharpen it....which has only happened 1 other time in my life (because my dad sharpened the Gerber BMF before he gave to me when I was 14).

Original SOG desert dagger (seki city version).  No longer made, for quite some time in fact.  Featured in Kill Bill......but I bought it before that movie came out.

I may have found my perfect EDC.  The Spyderco Advocate:

This meets all of my most important requirements:

Thin and lightweight
Decent blade length
Great wear resistance
At least moderate toughness

I do have a couple of quibbles, most of which are probably fixable:

It's not super comfortable/easy to unlock, due to rather strong lockbar tension and the fact that there's very little surface area that my thumb can make contact with it. I could probably adjust the lockbar, but not much can be done about the area to engage it.
The pivot feels a bit grittier/stiffer than I expected.  This may smooth out in time.
The detent is too strong to easily open the knife using the Spydie hole.
I wish the scales had the bronze color of the pre-production models.

Keep us updated. I wanted that knife so bad when it debuted, love the Bradley and Spyderco collaborations, M4 and the design just wasn't sure about the texture on the scales and the blade shape but your picture looks really good

The texture is actually quite subtle, much more so that it seemed in the pre-release photos.  I was rather surprised.  Practically speaking you can't even feel the texture itself, but it kind of gives some warmth if that makes sense.  I really like it overall.  The edges are polished, which is kind of a nice touch as well.

This picture might give you a better idea of how subtle it actually is:

That's a really good pic of the texture. Looks much better than the prototype pics. Ti wears really well too

My EDC. Light and easy to use. Sharp as a razor, and large enough for defensive purposes.

Bought this cheapo TH from Amazon and removed the plastic and faux cord from the shaft and wrapped it with real cord. Still a cheapo but at least it looks better.

Here's some blades I've collected (and actually used several of them a lot) over the years. I have quite a few smaller ones not in the pic. I tend to use them quite a bit more.
