Had my form 1 finally get approved after 63 calendar days, yesterday. Then today, after 6 calendar days, a form 4 for a Rhodie 6 got disapproved for having "multiple photos attached". Used the same file that has my EFT and photo that I submitted on my recently approved form 1, and also my last 20 or so submissions. Anyways, resubmitted a new form about 10 mins after getting the disapproval. Yesterday I certified a form for a FireTeam 556, so we'll see how these go. |

SBS'd my Remington Tac-14. Paper Form 1. Trust. One RP. Submitted 03-02-26. In process 03-06-26. Pending 03-09-26. Approved 05-14-26. Received 05-23-26. 74 days to approval. 83 days to receipt. I has listed the model as "Remington 870" which was on the receiver. The approval was conditional noting that the model was just "870." Hey, at least it wasn't disapproved! The examiner was "Authorized NFA Division Official." They don't sign their names anymore? |

| Submitted a Form 4 to transfer an SBR from my single shot trust to my NFA trust on 4/6/2026. Checked a few weeks ago (5/6/2026), nothing. Just checked right now and it was showing finalized on 5/13/2026. Never got an email. Downloaded the PDF of the final form and yup, approved on 5/13/2026 with that new "Zero Dollars" stamp on it. |

I submitted a form 1 (SBR, Individual) on Friday 5-29-26. The last form 1 I had submitted was 01-09-26, 142 days prior. Assuming the ID numbers are sequential, the math states that there is an average of 11,836 submissions a day. Seems like a lot but I'm happy to see there's a lot of activity. |

Also, eForm based transfers require very little input work since the item is already in the registry and you're pretty much just doing the background check stuff and then changing who owns it. With new NFA items, a bit more work is required to scrutinize that the information entered by the applicant is correct. Things like clarifying model designations and all that, just look at all the threads recently where people are getting denied (or sometimes even abnormally approved) because they entered the basic info incorrectly. Plus the rise in registering very unique items like 3D printed silencers and such just adds to the complexity there. |

Are Form 1s done geographically? I ask because I just had an eform 4 come back in …3 business days - and I just submitted an eform 1 last friday lol Hoping my eform comes back sooner than a couple of months, I’ve got a Gordon Carbine to paint! |

There is a defferent process between Form 4 and Form 1s, with likely different groups of examiners working on one type predominantly. The current trend of days to a week for a Form 4 and 60-80 days for a Form 1 apply across the board to all applications. |

I contacted my congressman on Tues and they sent me a form for release of information that I filled out late yesterday. Heres hoping. I saw on Reddit (I know, I know) where someone messaged the ATF Directors X account about a eForm1 and got an actual response and an approval hours later. |
